It's part of the 2006 Legacy Collection. You can see more of them here: http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-reference-library/post-your-legacy-pieces-here-156435.html
Thanks Whateve. Love the whiskey shoulder bag and the Gigi is a lot bigger than I thought and again the whiskey is very nice! (coincidentally I'm drinking a Tullamore Dew at the moment!) Happy holiday!
Horse hair brushes are good. Leather Therapy is a conditioner. You may need to apply more than one coat a day apart. I use a sponge see my previous post #676. Merry Christmas to you too! What kind of brush do you use for buffing a bag? Also, I have a bag with lots of dry, has scuffs and scratches etc and needs help. Will leather CPR do the job? Do you have to apply many coats for it to get the bag back to its beauty!? Thanks! I'm slowly getting into CPR but not sold yet, I put it on a bag and it did not do what I thought so I am worried it won't work on my other bags who need more help!? Am I wrong?
I tried looking for leather therapy at my local stores and can't find any! Is it a conditioner or does kind of a dye for leather? I ask because you apply it with a paint brush
Merry Christmas everyone!!
I was able to spot fix a small patent leather tear with craft paint. Is it crinkle patent or smooth patent? I think it is easier to fix crinkle patent without it being too noticeable. Nail polish didn't work. There is also fabric paint which might be extra glossy. It is dimensional, meaning it will stick up more. I don't know if that would be better or not. If you use craft paint and it isn't shiny enough, you can use a gloss coat on top. The gloss is also sold in the same aisle as the craft paint.I just bought a (cheap~$12) Dooney and Bourke patent leather bag. The corners are a bit worn but I fell in love with the bag. Is there anyway way to fix the worn patent leather? I can kind of live past the worn parts as the bag was cheap and they're not TOO bad (yet). Is there a way to fix it or to make it so they don't get worse?
It looks like crinkle patent. I think the strap is going to be the trickiest. Since it constantly bends, it is really susceptible to wearing out. That's a very cute bag and I think you got a great price! It looks like you are going to have to clean the canvas as well. Thanks!! I was reading on how to fix patent shoes and I guess you can buy some kind of paint that's suppose to blend? I don't know. I bought the bag on eBay and it looks okay as far as authenticity but I can't tell if it's chips in the patent or just dirt. The pics are just dim.

Oh it's a Dooney bag.
I usually keep my bags in immaculate condition so it took A LOT for me to buy a less than perfect bag. I just fell totally in love with it and I couldn't beat the price. I'm a total bargain shopper and refuse to spend more than $20-30 on a bag.
I hope I can save it!! Or just get over the cracks in the patent on it.
Wow, this is vintage Coach porn at its finest! I'm drooling! Here's my holiday projects. I've got four weeks so should be able to tackle these beauties as they're all in pretty good shape anyway. I'm also hoping to get to a Cole Haan and a Paolo Masi that need re-dyeing. I'll post pics of the Coach bags when I 'm done
12 months ago I wouldn't have considered buying and rehabbing vintage Coach. Thanks to the wonderful authenticators and rehab posters I have a new, very fulfilling hobby (and a depleted bank balance!)Wow, this is vintage Coach porn at its finest! I'm drooling!
I'm jealous too! And that you have 4 weeks off!! I am getting into rehabbing more and like it, but don't like to take too big of job on!Here's my holiday projects. Thanks for your interest Fashionstar. I'm very new to this. These were bought from ebay. Too many late nights trawling through endless searches and getting up at ridiculous times during the night to bid lol! The pre-creed watermelon is my absolute favourite and I bought her BIN so she wasn't cheap but was good value as the colour is amazing and even better IRL. Interesting question about where to store them when I'm done rehabbing them especially as I'm unlikely to use anything but the watermelon as they're too small for me. I already have a large Plaza court on 'display' on our bedroom tallboy. Not sure if DH would appreciate anymore but I do enjoy just looking at them.I'm jealous too! And that you have 4 weeks off!! I am getting into rehabbing more and like it, but don't like to take too big of job on!please share before and after when you are done! I would love to see them! Now do you get most of your stuff from ebay? I can't find these kind of treasures!
I have also have not seen some of these styles! Cool! Now when your done with the rehab job where do you store them? Dust bags? I'm not sure what to do with mine!
how long does it take to rehab a bag? A day or two? good luck!
