Well that's just a big pile of loveliness.
Yes, BT is tricky. My feeling is it just lends itself to spontaneous spotting that represent some little spill or something that it absorbed at some past time and just decides to surface, or spots emerging during cleaning and or conditioning. And I love BT anyway. As it is, I pulled out my BT Plaza Large that I was not completely satisfied with after rehabbing. I am ruminating over more CPR or Renapur.
I approve lol. Carry on!

I like Renapur but when I recently rehabbed a Camel Willis I thought that the Renapur actually made the spots and flaws a little more noticeable. I eventually dunked it again and started over and finished the rehab with Black Rocks and I was much happier; it's still not perfect but I think it came out better.

I'm not entirely sold on Renapur yet. I'm just not sure about how it doesn't seem to soak in all the way. But Blackrocks stinks at first. They are both have great results though!!

Glad to get your take. I used Renapur only on a BT Letter Brief and Putty Court so far. I will tuck this info away!

When I saw all those BTs, I first thought they were yours!

I agree. I think I may prefer Blackrocks. I also thought Renapur emphasized stains, as @katev noticed. I don't like the sweet smell of Renapur.

What is the recommended way to seal the dyed suede parts of a bag? I did a few coats of Resolene on my current project but I didn't apply it inside yet. I know one rehabber who used it very diluted and only a couple of coats on the suede but the bottle says to not to use on suede so I wanted to explore options before I decide to do that.

Renapur is also kind of expensive but it gives some bags a real glow. I've said it before but I'm like a Mad Chemist and I have so many different potions in my rehabbing cupboard - but they all have their uses!

I put it on the bags I sell on eBay because of that glow it gives them and my bags have always sold the first time around. I bought a lot of 3 tubs of Renapur, so I have to use it up. I don't not like it, I just don't know if I like it. I know now not to put it on my lighter colored bags though.

I would most likely dunk it. Dunking will optimize penetration of the conditioner. An option would be to wipe it down with a damp cloth ( I use a little Lexol Cleaner mixed with warm water), give it 10 minutes and then apply CPR.
I'm sorry, I did not mean to make you overly cautious. We run the risk with any bag when we even apply light conditioner. It is just light bags and BT are less forgiving. That is why I still do not like to pay over a certain amount for a bag that needs thorough cleaning or conditioning.
No worries! I appreciate the heads up. I'm still on the fence about dunking it. I honestly think I could maybe get away with airing it out and conditioning it but I like how clean my bags are after a dunk. I don't have to worry about what germs are getting all over my stuff.

I love that Renapur glow! I adore the way it looks on my blue Kira bag.

I'm getting a little nervous about the Ranch rehab. It looks like I may have activated the mold even with a vinegar soak. It feels dry on the outside, still damp on the inside. I have a fan blowing on it and I reposition it every few hours. This one might be a bust, I don't know. I'm pretty sure I'm not gonna dunk the Rambler now. It doesn't show any hint of little spots like this but I think I can get away with just conditioning. I don't want to risk it.

My gray Willis got a bath today. That Costa Rica leather sure flops when wet. None of my other rehabs prepared me for it. I did some pre work on the torn part, but am waiting to extol my skills as a cobbler until I see how it holds up. If it worked, I have a tip to share, it if didn’t, snarl, grrr, grrr
I hope it worked! Both of my hubby's Willis's are from Costa Rica. Such wonderful leather. I have also found leather from the C plant to be really nice too.
