Coach or D&B?

I love my D&B bags. I have them in all sizes and materials. Macy's, T.J.Maxx and (please forgive me) QVC rock some great deals and styles on the D&B. I just bought my first Coach in many years just last month online. Then a week ago I got one at the Coach outlet.

Thank you Kallison. I think you feel where I am coming from in regards to what I pay for a bag versus what people think I got off Peachtree Street in downtown Atlanta. I have a fake LV speedy 30 in my office area as I type, but I cannot bring myself to carry it. The zipper scratches my hand every time I reach into it. I would hope the real thing would be better than that!

The real ones zipper does not scratch. The brass is dull. You shouldnt care if someone thinks your bag is authentic, you know it is ,and thats what should only matter. I know how you feel I live in NYC,and I have seen way too many fakes, but people these days are becoming very aware on the diffrences between authentic, and fakes. :supacool:

I dislike Dooney,I feel the materials they use is cheap.

i think EVERY brand has tiers of "nicer" bags (calfskin leather and/or exotics) and "not so nice" (cotton/nylon/etc). same with designs. EVERY brand has bags that have a more classic look...and ones that are very seasonal or very tacky (sometimes both).

obviously, if you're looking for a classic bag, you won't go for dooney's "it" line- you'd go for their leather stuff. same with any designer.

I like Dooney and bourke and I have 14 of those alone. Lately, I have been buying more Coach than dooney, however I have one Dooney that I could never get enough of at the moment.  This particular one is dark blue with dark brown trim and it is a tote. I absolutely love this one in particular and basically that is my "everyday" bag. Lately, I like coach because their styles are very nice and I love the fun colors of the legacy line. Right now I prefer Coach, but that doesn't mean I don't buy and love my dooneys.

P.S. I also live in Georgia and I know what you were talking about with fakes. You find stands on every corner in ATL. I still love the style of LV but not it is not quite as special because you see them on every corner. Eventually, the LV "trend" will fade and you might not find so many purses, maybe it might be Chanel next. We know they are classic, but the others are looking for the trends.

that's the same reason i don't have an monogram lv stuff. if everyone is just going to assume it's fake anyways, what's the point in spending that much money?!

I completely agree with you, Kallison! I used to love LV and that was the first designer brand I fell in love with but I don't even want to wear my authentic LV bags anymore. I just noticed that subconsciously all the fakes have detroyed my love for LV. Even my fiance (who does not really care about bags) said to me two days ago that LV has been over-faked and he does not understand why people still spend money on LV Monogram stuff either. It's sad but true IMO:crybaby:

i agree...and it totally sucks the fakes have to ruin it for you! i was shopping while in london and was looking at some lv stuff. and part of me wanted some splurge purchase there, but i KNEW i would be disappointed once i got back home (to people who carry lots of fakes). and it ruined it for me (especially since a mono speedy is all i could afford).

it's even starting to get to me with fake coach bags...which truly sucks.

I have two bags I want to carry at this time. I have a D&B I got from Belk's for a crazy discount. Then I got this beautiful Coach bag with the four pockes from the outlet. It is that awesome tobacco color or whiskey. I want to carry both, but that would look really dumb.
