We obviously have similar taste - I own three Phoebes, two duffles, and now the Madison hobo.I love them all for the same reason - they are soft, comfy shoulder bags. The duffles are my more casual bags in brighter colors. I can't say I like one better than the other. Every time I take any of my bags out of their dust bag to use it, I fall back in love.
The comparison shots are awesome - I'm sure they will help people who aren't sure!!
I love comparison pictures! Thanks so much! I like the slouchiness. It looks like it slouches better when worn crossbody than the duffle because of the smooshier leather. I wonder how it compares to Isabelle? I'm also wondering about the gusseted bottom - what purpose does it serve? Does it keep the contents more organized?
Thanks !Wow, you took some great comparison shots! I love my new hobo and I've owned both Phoebe and the duffle in the past so it was interesting to see how they stack up with each other. I find the hobo to be the more functional for me but no bag is perfect.
You are welcome. I do love the cognac and chestnut, such rich browns !Thank you for the time you put into this thread. Great pictures. I love the hobo and the duffel. I have the cognac duffel but I think i can justify getting the hobo in chestnut!
You are very welcome! Thanks for the thorough comparison!!
Thank you. You do have very good taste, I always like your choice in bags ! I also love the black /silver HOBO, so cool !We obviously have similar taste - I own three Phoebes, two duffles, and now the Madison hobo.I love them all for the same reason - they are soft, comfy shoulder bags. Thanks ! I agree , the duffle is too deep. The hobo seems perfect for me.Excellent comparison shots! When I saw the hobo in person yesterday, I was thinking it was as tall as (or taller than) the duffle. I found the duffle to be too deep for my liking so was hoping the hobo wouldn't be quite as deep.I keep thinking I'll give the duffle another try one day though.
I looked up ISABELLE measurements for you so I could answer properly:I love comparison pictures! Thanks so much! I like the slouchiness. You are welcomeLove these comparison pics! Thanks so much for posting them!
You're welcome !Thanks for the photos!
I am glad you liked them !Awesome comparison shots, thanks!
Glad to help .These comparison shots are so helpful! Thank you for making the effort!
Thanks to you reveal, I noticed it ! Online it never caught my eye. I do love it, and want another - LOL !Your comparison shots are great!!! I think this will help others decide if this is the bag for them. I LOVE my Hobo!!! So slouchy, lightweight and the color is just a beautiful shade of brown! So happy you love your new handbag as much as I do!!
Zaara10,Wow, these pics are so helpful! Thanks! I have duffles & a phoebe but now I'm eyeing this hobo. Looks a bit like the Isabelle which I love! But it's too bad the hobo has no outside pocketDoes anyone know how else this compares to the Isabelle?
Yes yes yes.
Thanks and you are welcome.Congrats, love the color!! The hobo looks great on you too. Thanks for posting such detail pics.
Just an FYI-I answered another tPF with comparison measurements for ISSY and HOBO on this same thread just before this...My first thought was it's an Isabelle redo!!! I love me some Issy's so I'll have to check this out!
That's very nice. What a fabulous pictorial comparison - thank you! I really enjoyed your attention to detail.
Thanks for the thorough research. It looks like the hobo is bigger than Issy but I bet it slouches more due to the shorter drop length. Before I got Issy, I thought it was too big for me! The placement of the logo on the hobo reminds me of Michael Kors. I always appreciate an outside pocket. I use the pocket on my Issy for my phone and keys and I never noticed it bulging. It took me a long time to decide I liked Issy.I looked up ISABELLE measurements for you so I could answer properly:
Issy: 131/2 L x 113/4 H x 3 1/4 W (12 in. drop & 22 in. drop)
faults imo-hardware looked too busy, logo hidden when slouched, strap length not good for me and pocket bulged out in front if phone or keys put in it.
HOBO: 15 L x 12 1/4 H x 4 W (9 in. drop & 22 + in. drop)
faults imo- could use an outside pocket on back.
I love the strap design and bottom of HOBO- gusseted bottom helps bag sit , also the long cross body strap lays between the middle of bottom perfectly when not in use.
I used to like the chelsea KARARINA but that was also smaller than Hobo and only one strap. Hope this answer helps !

I pared down my keys quite a bit after someone told me that the weight of all the keys could damage my ignition. I don't know if that is true but I didn't want to take any chances. You are very welcome.Maybe I should carry a smaller key chain, (mine is pretty bulky now) LOL...actually I should !
