During the past 4 days, there's been much discussion about ebay seller debbieb208, also known as etsy seller GutsyGirls. The seller sells a lot of Coach and as such, should know enough about it to know the importance of authenticating and proper use of key words. She's listed and sold many fakes on Etsy and Ebay, KWS "vintage" and "Bonnie Cashin," describes items as being much older than they are, but most importantly, ignores the advice of potential buyers that some bags are counterfeit.

A counterfeit Patricia legacy bag was the one that started the discussion, after which many other fakes were found in her listings (since removed by ebay). However, last night, the fake Patricia was relisted and again removed.

This morning, it's relisted again and knowing that it's fake, she's knowingly ripping off a buyer for $195.

While she may not have been aware when she first listed it that the bag is fake, after messages from members and ebay listing takedowns (of multiple fakes and over the last 3 days), she certainly knows now!

Coach has been making bags in Vietnam since at least 2009.

And they've been using plastic - actually NYLON - zippers since at least 1992.

Please ask at the Authenticate thread before asking posters to report, especially since both those facts have been mentioned in the Salearea Guides.

It is difficult sometimes. In the case of these, they both have an insert that Coach never uses. The one on the brown wallet is used on tons of counterfeits. The Coach imprint on the inside is in the wrong place on both wallets. If you look at authentic wallets, you can see it should be closer to the corner. Coach never made a style that looks like the way the orange one is laid out. On the brown signature, the pattern should be centered, so the C's on each side of the center stripe would be identical. In this case, they aren't.
