my local goodwill has a case that they keep a silent auction on. today i went in there and they had 4 OBVIOUSLY FAKE and falling apart coach bags. the bidding was up to 340 dollars :nuts: any suggestions of how to fix it. i would hate for someone to spend that much to find out the bags are fake.

i've seen some really good fakes lately
but this is bad bad bad
yet it doesn't get pulled..? but when there was a keyfob being authenticated in the authentication thread..it was pulled..before i can even see..it was pulled right away after it was posted i believe..

unbelievable.

yea its totally ridiculous it makes me so mad that people spend that much on fakes thinking im so amazing cuz i saved so much getting a fake instead of the real thing, but really they could get a real one for that price. i was so mad to see the 340 for the 4 fakes at goodwill because that's exactly what i paid for my embroidered maggie with pce. why not get something nice instead of crap that's falling apart...i dont get it?!? :shrugs:

My goodwill does this ALL the time and they don't care if they are fake or not.
In the bidding book, They always have the word "authentic" with a question mark behind it when on the page that people are to write down bids for the fake bag.
However,
When the bag is REAL, I don't ever see the "Authentic?" behind the word Coach like I do when it's a fake bag.
One time, I added "NOT" under each fake one that said "Authentic?". They ended up putting the bidding book behind the counter and when you asked to look at it, they would stand there and watch you. They did this for a few months after I wrote "Not" on a bunch of the fake auctions.

Also, I once told the store manager that one of the bags in the auction case was fake. She didn't do anything about it and didn't seem concerned when I said something.

I get sad and happy when I walk on Grant Ave in SF (usually afterwork) heading from Chinatown to Downtown. Sad because all along Grant Ave, there's A LOT of stores that sell Goaches and Foaches... almost every block... but then as little as 2-3 blocks away from the start of Chinatown on Grant Ave, the flagship Coach store is there =D

then I see this on the bus...
