I think small purses are better for Younger girls than Wristlets. I know when I was 11 I started my period and I NEEDED a purse to carry my "products" to school. An esprit purse did the trick. All the girls loved the purse and nobody paid attention to why I had to carry it with me all the time, even to the wash room.

Do her parents still feel the same now? I would let that help me decide what to purchase. If they feel just a small purse would be good then you know to get just that but if they say you can go all out, then get the demi, key fob, shoes etc. I think it's important to purchase age appropriate gifts but it's equally important not to undermine her parents especially if she knows you are doing so. Please don't throw rotten tomatoes at me.... I'm not trying to start a war! LOL! I'm just thinking in my "mommy" mode here and putting myself in her mother's place. I think 12 is a good age to get some cute things if she's the kind of girl that would use them. (my 14 yo dd isn't into Coach at all or I would have gotten her the holiday patchwork wristlet!) Let us know what you decide!! You are a very sweet and generous aunt!

The black sneakers didn't fit so I kept them & matching wristlet for myself, and bought her KATELYN SNEAKER (khaki/white), HAMPTONS SIGNATURE STRIPE WRISTLET (crimson), Signature stripe Ipod case (khaki/gold), HAMPTONS SIGNATURE SMALL WRISTLET (black) and a C Charm.
