My mother made an offer on this pendant the day before and the offer was declined so she then decided to pay the full price the seller was selling it for. Transaction went thru fine and then the next morning she receives a message from the seller saying “the offer was never accepted”. My mom replied that she paid her offering price, didn’t understand what the seller was referring too. Yesterday she receivesd a message from Mercari that her payment was being refunded because the seller said “she didn’t have the item anymore”. My mom looks up the seller to see what the hell happened and the seller is gone from the site! Strange! I wonder if the seller thought the Mercari site was like eBay and was thinking it was a bid site?

That sounds fishy! I wouldn't want to buy from that seller. Maybe the pictures weren't even her own.

ETA: There are some problems with Mercari. Once I made a sale and sent the buyer a thank you message. She responded with an angry message about selling an item and then cancelling. I told her I didn't cancel and had already shipped. It got me worried that maybe she had gotten a refund, but she hadn't. The sale ended up going through fine.

I had an unpleasant transaction for a turtle pendant with a Mercari vendor last January, I wonder if it was the same person?! I'm pretty sure that her name was Shereen but I am not 100% certain.

I had the Coach sea turtle pendant on hold for me on Mercari when the vendor suddenly said that she "couldn't find it and was too busy over the holidays but would look for it later!" (I wondered if she had gotten a better offer - but she didn't give me an option to counterbid.) She left me hanging for over a week and then suddenly the item was taken down off the site with no communication and she didn't respond to my messages.

It worked out okay because I found one cheaper on ebay in March and that transaction went through without any problems.

So do you think this is a typo?! I bought the Poppy Stone Guitar Neckace 95069 on Poshmark for $25 and it was originally sold by Coach for $98. I think that at this rate ($6,300) it would be overpriced even if the stones were real rubies!

Here's my $25 investment (and I questioned the wisdom of paying $25 bucks, it even though it's cute but I am not a musician and I don't play the guitar!)
