I've polled how people are storing their bags and have similar habits. Now I'm curious how people are storing their bag charms. I'm re-organizing after I moved so trying to figure out will work. I have a few of those jewelry stands with bars from HomeGoods that I can hook some on. It doesn't seem to work for all fobs as the bar may be too large for the ring. I'd love something like at the store where you can see them better and remove easily. Dust can be an issue if kept out all the time. I'd just love an idea that makes it easy to see what I have and grab it to use!

Well, there's been several methods of storage / display in this thread.....I'll throw out the ones I can remember. One tpf'r used hanging jewelry organisers, storage, display and dust protector all in one.....here's an example.

Next, a couple of tpf'rs hung curtain rods up and used shower curtain clips to hang the charms by.....they would collect dust unless you covered them with a sheet.

A lot of us used cork boards. Once again, you'd want to cover it to keep out the dust.

Last, but not least, glass fronted shadow boxes. That is what I now have mine displayed in, but you would need to get ones with a front opening so you can get to them to use them.

I think your best bet would be the hanging jewelry organisers.....they seem to check off all your requirements.

I tried jewelry stands but I don't use those anymore. I've used the hanging pocket organizers too. Those work okay as far as keeping them clean but I wouldn't use them for anything with fur or anything that could be squished or folded. Currently I have two methods of storage. Leather charms I have hanging on curtain rods. I don't use shower curtain clips - just regular binder rings. They are very easy to open to remove a charm when I want to use it, and it is very easy to see them so I can pick what I want. Most smaller metal charms are stored in plastic divided boxes, like the kind people use to sort beads. I have my Juicy Couture jewelry charms displayed in a glass front shadow box.

Nice! Yea! I finally get to see some of your collection! The black cat, that's one we forgot to mention that is hard to get and still kind of pricey.

You know what? I hated it! I listed it and sold it almost immediately after I got it. I didn't even price it super high. I just wanted it gone. I like cats but the eyes were all wrong.

(these are old photos.)

That was never one I wanted in my collection either, but for a different reason.....I didn't collect any with mink fur on them. I will admit to buying 2 with fur on them REALLY cheap just to resell  .....for more money for more charms. :whut:

These are great ideas, thank you! I have a small armoire that has a door where I thought I'd store my jewelry. I thought of getting some tension rods to put in there and like the idea of notebook clips to make access easier than to take the entire rod down when accessing. That way they will be hidden and not collect dust.

Cool! A totally new idea so you can have easy access and dust free. Great idea!

Fob Lovers!

I have been trying to pick a charm or fob to go with my new Dusty Rose Floral Appliqued Bandit bag but so far no luck! I've been looking for leather and metal tooled tea rose fobs but haven't found what I want.

In the meantime I have come up with 2 more possibilities, please take a look at the pics at the link below and give me your opinions, thanks!

My husband put pegboard up in the back of my closet so now I can "shop" for the charm of the day! I just love being able to see them all, it makes me smile every time I look in my closet!Fobs 001.JPG

No offense, but I'm just not feeling any of them. If I had to pick one it would be the heart.

You are my idol! I have been looking at ideas for organizing things and it is amazing how you can find space where you least expect it. This could be another option and I like how you hung your bag straps so they stay straight. It would be so nice to be able to see all my charms and sometimes I can't remember what I have. I also want to keep them relatively dust free. I can also probably do this with Command strips to not damage the walls. Command strips are my new go to for solving household problems.

I use these metal strips and magnets for mine. I obviously need another strip. I have 3 of them going up the wall now full.
