From the Nieman Marcus website -- a Rainbow Hangtag Charm, and a Pouch Crossbody with a Heart on it that probably matches the Dillard's Heart Hangtag Charm that Kitts posted above.

I think that has always been the case, maybe because silver is more neutral than gold, so it doesn't fight with the colors of the charms. In the past, Coach even made fobs that had gold leather but silver hardware.
