They are near vintage key fobs, from the mid 90s, designed to be miniature versions of classic bags. Most are city key fobs. The ones with the top handle are mini station bag key fobs. The little one was called a key case coin pouch.

Thx. Are the ones with the top handles about the same size or scale as the Barbie Doll Duffle or the other miniature versions of classics?

The purse part of the Barbie doll duffle, not counting the strap, is 2 1/4 inches tall. Counting the strap, they are around 4 inches tall. The mini station bag key fobs are about 3 3/8 inches tall. They are very hard to find. The city key fobs were made for more years so they are relatively easy to find. The city key fobs are 3 1/4 inches by 2 7/8 inches. There is also a mini backpack version called a daypack key fob, which is really cute.
If you decide to try to find one, make sure you get it authenticated. We've seen some fakes. 7254_Mini Station Bag key fob kf-1997Hol Prev.jpg 7105_City Bag Key fob-intro1996.jpg 7248_Key Case Coin Pouch_1995_3x2x1 key fob.jpg 7253_Daypack KF key fob 97holiday.jpg

Wow, that is interesting....I learn new Coach trivia daily on here, lol.

I appreciate your in-depth story. I am crazy about the ones that ARE the actual Barbie duffle size -- I own the Barbie Duffle and several other more current style miniatures...I forget the names now, I know one has its own mini turnlock pocket and another is I think the dakotah? I'll find them and post them, they're packed up. But they're not rare, some are still up on EBay.

I always wondered why Coach doesn't make a miniature of more of their models; I would think there'd be an entire sub-category of collectible miniatures -- I don't think the ones that are on EBay regularly are true collectibles, and they're certainly not vintage.

I'll read up more on the ones you referred to above -- of course I'd have you authenticate any tentative purchase -- since I buy mostly current models of everything, I don't need much verifying.

When you mentioned the mini backpack you don't mean the large one that came out last year that was sold as a bag charm? It was large enough to hold a lipstick and some coins.

EDIT: oops, nevermind, I see your pic of the daypack that's a mini backpack. The one I was referring to is actually a small coin purse/bag charm. It was huge compared to any tiny ones.

The mini backpack that came out last year was too big to be cute IMO. I attached pictures. The backpack I was referring to is the last picture in my previous post.
Coach made a mini Ergo of the 1997 style and a mini Ergo of the 2006 Legacy version, complete with Legacy striped lining. The mini Dakotahs key fobs aren't as nice IMO as they are kind of flat. The mini Borough is really nice but a little big. There are quite a few key fobs that look like purses. Most of the leather ones are flat.

Oh, ok, I do own some of the flat ones and I agree they're not too cute. I got some of those because I was on a temporary mission to collect all miniatures, but then I noticed Coach doesn't make many styles. Plus, I'm only interested in the leather ones. I did see a few very used mini Ergo's (not sure which years) on EBay and since it was before my Coach time, I had never seen the actual Ergo full size bag.

Do you think some of those Ebay mini Ergos are fakes? They look soooo used.

Thanks for the information! I didn't know what the small green one was. I've only seen two of them and they were both green. Now I can keep an eye out for other colors.

I agree that last years mini backpack wasn't too cute to me, too large as well as I didn't care for the two tone colors. I had a couple of the older backpack ones, but just sold them because I didn't like them as much as the other styles. I've also had the ergo style ones that aren't lined in the legacy strips, (like this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/COACH-MINI-...097650?hash=item25c9109732:g:N94AAOSwImRYMIqF), but sold them too because I wasn't that crazy about them either. I do have all three colors of the mini ergo ones with the legacy lining, all three of those are NWT's, as are a lot of my other mini bags. Of the newer styles, I do have the white borough (and would love to find a red one too) and all three colors of the Dakotah bags.

Wow, that is SOME collection you've got -- good for you!

I've never seen a fake mini Ergo. I think it would be expensive to make. Mine started peeling for some unknown reason, even though it was new when I got it, so there might be some issue with the leather they used.

I don't love the mini 1997 ergo either. It is a little too clunky. I've never seen a red borough fob listed other than when they first came out.

I don't think I've ever seen one listed. As far as I can remember, they were overseas exclusives....Europe I think? A few on here found out about them and snagged one from Jax before they were shipped. By the time they were posted on here and I found out about them, they had already been shipped out.

Dang, now I'm thinking about that red Borough again.......:whut:

Neiman Marcus has listed 2 bag charms from the Spring 1941 Collection:

1. "Metal bag charm with mixed flower, dinosaur, skull, horseshoe, and star charms" - $295

2. Elvis Studded Bag Charm - $155

Arrived today -- the child in me had to get the Rocket charm @ 50% off while they're still up on the website. I've had a "crush" on THIS Rocket style since I couldn't get my hands on the suede Red Rogue Rocket Spring 2017 Runway Limited Edition. (with the Rocket patch sewn on front of bag). It's actually nicer IRL than online, it's bling-y and whimsical! I hadn't seen it at the Coach boutique. I'm in love with the detail work -- may get the silver one also.

I just took a quick shot to reveal it here, but I think it's a nice contrast with this Black and White Diaper Bag from about three years ago. At that time I thought it was the coolest tote that does not even look like a Diaper Bag, although the silhouette is -- and it included the diaper cushion pad (to use on the go for baby).

Sorry, I'll try to send it again. The second pic says my file is too large, oh well.
