I don't check this thread too often since I just started buying fobs a couple of months ago and swear I will be limited to three! Maybe four at the most -- once I decide on which Laduree charm to get. it's dangerous to visit this thread!

Haha. I avoid this thread and somehow I manage to get distracted by fobs on bags in the threads. Good luck sticking to 4...I wish I can do that. Maybe time to downsize.

She received a reply that confirmed that it was never sold and given as a gift at the launch event for the Baseman line and that not many were made. She's also written to Gary Baseman to see if can give her any more info on it. She said she'd let me know if she hears anything back from him. I thought this was pretty cool and worth sharing.

OK, first, she's not my friend. 2nd, I had communicated with someone on FB who had the fob for sale for $120. She told me she purchased it for $20, she found my thread on TPF and was asking if I knew any more about it. She told me that she emailed Coach and Gary Baseman. The person who's now selling it on eBay bought it from the person on FB for $120.

She's definitely nuts if she thinks she'd be able to get $450 for it but hey, more power to her. Gotta give her credit for her optimism!

I was thinking the same thing! I like it but why would a dolphin have flowers on him? Coach needs to make a dolphin, preferably out of leather.

Actually, I kinda do have greedy friends but they're usually a little more realistic. :graucho:

I did however want to set the record straight as far as my involvement with this fob as I PM'd a couple of other TPF members who expressed interest to me earlier about this fob.

Yeah, I have NO association with the FB seller or the eBay seller but I was happy to read the response from Baseman's camp.

Agreed! How cute would that be?!?

There are a couple of newly listed koi fobs. I don't feel like going back and searching but I noticed 1 that was reasonably priced and appeared to be in really good condition.
