It causes me no distress or duress. I find it very rude and uncalled for a person to come onto the Coach forum and bash Coach....so ugly...I hate it.....etc! I dislike LV with a passion, but I don't go onto their forum at all, let alone to bash their bags! Maybe you could learn to do the same?!
I totally agree with you Hobbsy on the rudeness. I don't understand why a person would post how awful a certain brand is. There are many brands out there and everybody has their favorites and not so favorites; but to go to specifically to that brand's forum and bash it.... Why? Expressing an opinion would be "not my style as I'm a fan of the sig line" not what was posted as "god awful" "yuk" etc....

I like reading posts on these forums to see how some styles bring smiles or good feelings to a person's life (visiting the Ban Island thread shows how some of us are emotionally attached to our purchases) Maybe some of those purses are not my style but it's great that it makes somebody's day and it's nice to share that happiness! My Mickey Coach purses make me smile and to have somebody come bash you for it with their opinion " I mean if I want a bag with Mickey Mouse on it, I'll just get a bag with MM ON it and not spend $100s" well, that to me was not nice. I respect an opinion, but it doesn't have to be rude.

I agree. There are brands I wouldn't buy because I don't like them. I don't bash them, I don't go to their forums and say any of their products are ugly...I just don't go there at all. I'm happy everyone is into different things, it would be a boring world if we all liked the same.

I'm not the one being rude, dear. You are. I just edited my previous post to you. Please read that one since I won't be replying to you again.

I actually had to pipe in on this one. I give you credit, you have more guts than I ever will have (and crass). I could never go onto the LV forum and state my dislike for many of their handbags. Its so beyond rude and offensive to many of the people who carry those bags. How thoughtless and inconsiderate.

Wow. Alright, alright. When I have an opinion I usually say it. That rule seems to be ok for all of you, but I guess I've learned my lesson about trying to contribute on this forum. You're all a bunch of bullies!

When you waltz into a forum and do nothing but bash the brand's products, what else do you expect? If it's not your cup of tea, walk to another label that carries the monogram.

Sorry, just stating an opinion. I didn't realize you would take it so personally. I apologize if my open mind and free thinking caused you any distress. That was not my intention.

I'm not distressed, I just didn't appreciate your first comments were all negative ones. It's just uncouth to post only negative comments in the first posts you make in a forum....you will always offend other people when you do that in any kind of forum. Worded differently the statements wouldn't have seem so condescending, but stated as they were made them sound really harsh.

I am on many forums...I love many different brands. And, I know each brand and bag is special to someone, somehow in it's own way.

The connection that we have at PF is that we all seem to treasure these beautiful pieces of our life, no matter what name is sewn onto their inside label.

I especially respect that there are people who have put down their hard earned money to invest in a special piece of history and art when they buy a Coach bag. I also recognize that this applies to ALL the forums, and I respect them all, even if the bag or the brand does not currently speak to me.

People work hard to have beautiful things to enjoy, purchase a special handbag that always seems to put a smile on their face at the end of an especially hard day, or have a lovely token that they know will pass the test of time so they can hand it down someday to a beloved daughter, special niece, or a much loved sister as a tangible remembrance of their life story.

If you put yourself in that frame of mind, you will see that Coach means a special something to each of us here. It is often so much more than just a purse, but rather what it individually represents to us.

My first Coach bag was also the "first nice bag" I ever owned. It is an emotional attachment, and I would guess I'm not the only one here that probably feels this way. My subsequent Coach bags often remind me of a fabulous trip to New York, a special birthday, a hard earned promotion, or a gift handed down to me from a dear friend. These memories are treasured, and the quality of the Coach name means that someday, somehow, someway, some wonderful lucky girl that I care about will carry on it's legacy and help make even more memories.

Modern day Coach is evolving from not just producing bags designed for utility, but transforming this utility into a masterpiece. I challenge you to find anything quite as beautiful and durable as the new 1941 line.

My favorite aunt had a wonderful saying. She would say, "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all"...

Hmm, I noticed your rudeness in the thread on "carrying less designer bags" when you called people snobby without understanding the culture here or how tpfers in general categorize designer bags. I chalked it up to you being a new member to this forum and maybe not understanding the culture here that has developed over years. But it looks like you are here to deliberately antagonize.

Contribute? Is that what you call your passive aggressive behavior?
