I’m with you on that!! I definitely don’t want to spend thousands and ruin it. I would be way too upset about it. I haven’t carried the Brooklyn in suede out yet because I’m waiting for the empire to arrive. I really was hoping for the empire 28 to release in suede but it never came 😢. I definitely don’t need 2 suede in the same color so hopefully tomorrow decides it 😂
I have been in some pretty serious rain and snow storms with my suede bags. I always use Apple Spray. The only suede issue I have had was with a lighter color LV which did suffer from some denim transfer. To this day I am annoyed at LV for telling customers never to treat their bags. Maybe if I had sprayed it, it wouldn't have been as serious. I think they are concerned a customer will use something that will ruin it and then want to return. Most likely the same reason that Coach no longer offers to treat the bag before you leave. People probably brought them back thinking once treated they would never be subject to any damage. If you are careful and use good products, I think it's always best to try to protect your investment!
I know this is Empire thread, but posting my Rogue suede that I sprayed with Apple Rain and Stain protectant in 2017. It’s been through rain and snow storms. Colorado weather is completely unpredictable. You can leave the house in sunshine and get caught in a rain/snow/hail storm in 20 minutes! I do now carry a raincoat for bags.

I gravitate towards larger bags now. I have a few Speedy 25's that are sadly sitting in my closet at the moment. I won't let go of them because everything seems to be cyclical with me. I guess you have to ask yourself if you think you would actually carry it or not. I always try walking around the house with it for a day to see how I feel about a bag. Good luck!

Well the Brooklyn won 😂. I actually didn’t end up liking the empire 40 in the suede 😢. It is already boxed up for return tomorrow. It’s probably because I really had my heart set on the suede empire 28. The Brooklyn is just so perfectly slouchy and I know it will get more use than another 40 😂

It all worked out and i’m carrying the new loved 28 now, but I’d rather buy from coach than amazon. Do you know what day the fall collection will drop? Also, i watched a video that showed a large suede Rowan that was released in the uk and the suggestion was that it might drop here as well on the coach outlet online. It had leather handles and trim but suede body. Have you heard anything about that? Agree about the olive. I’d expect that to be very popular. I pulled out my merlot 40 which i am ashamed to say i have not used because it is too big for me ( but it’s soooo pretty! ) so i have told myself that i really must be disciplined about venturing outside of my preferred size range for bags. I will hold out for an empire 28 in any new color that i like. Hoping the merlot is released this next time. Would buy the 28 in merlot, suede, olive… will have to see what shows up i guess. This was a really confusing release, especially with it being so close to next week's official Fall launch. I feel like they should have all been released at the same time. I'm already 99% sure I'm going to have to order the 48 in Olive now lol.
I heard about the loved leather months ago, but didn't think it would actually become a thing. I had one reserved for launch day, but a series of unfortunate events prevented me from purchasing it. When I saw it was still on the website a week later, I grabbed it!
When I was talking with customer service about the shipping issues, I asked if the loved leather was going to be restocked. I was considering just cancelling the order and trying to find one at a local store. They said the whole collection was limited/over, and that they were already prepping for the Fall launch next week.
The Merlot was so hard for me to track down. I remember being told so much mixed information. Some reps would say they weren't having a restock, then it would be online two weeks later lol
I have a feeling the Olive is going to be similar, extremely hard to track down initially, then inventory will slowly catch up
