I love mine, but after only 30 days of carrying it the hardware of the strap broke. Really disappointed. Hoping it's a one off problem and not new Coach quality (I've only bought vintage).
I hope you brought it back to Coach and had them replace the defective hardware. It should still be under warranty if you bought it within a year. I know there were issues with the hardware falling apart with the plastic tabbys- the screws would loosen and fall out. I would imagine a drop of super glue or locktite would solve that issue.

I bought it on vacation because we don't have a store here. The threads on the screws were essentially stripped so I could put it back together but it couldn't engage the spring to allow the clasp to open and close. Had to send the entire thing back to Coach. We will see how long it takes to repair.

The maple 48 arrived early- anyone else receive theirs? I only glanced at it for damage/defects and did not remove the styrafoam wrapping. It is perfect from first inspection- the leather is pristine and the hardware looks ok working properly but time will tell. It is a big bag, and with just the packaging, it is heavy imo. The maple color is a uniform dark chocolate brown with no variation in color or burnishing. I do really like it but do I need it?

Thoughts?

Mine was shipped to the store and is scheduled for delivery tomorrow 12/24. Slim chance I’ll be able to pick it up, so it will likely be the 26th before I have it.

I’m anxious about it - almost talking myself out of keeping it due to its size, but I want to see it in person before I make my decision. Look forward to seeing y’all’s pics and reading your opinions.

Mine arrived about two hours ago and I also only had time to look over it as it arrived late and I’m tired. I also inspected it for defects and it is perfect. I agree with @toujours*chic it is a beautiful uniform dark brown. It is really pretty in maple. Initial thoughts is she is definitely big and would be used like an overnight bag more than likely. I can not imagine carrying her around town or anything but I haven’t put her strap on. I didn’t pull all her plastic off or anything either because I’m unsure. I did pull the stuffing out of the interior so I could see her size and she will fit a lot. I’m going to look at her more tomorrow and see what fits and contemplate if I need another overnight bag. I love the lowkey look to her as I normally carry LV overnight/weekend bags. Honestly if I kept it I would probably try to distress it. It would fit my vibe better 😂.
I already have 2 40’s so…
Definitely torn on keeping and don’t want to keep knowing someone else may use her to death. But also know I could use it for years to come as an overnight beauty and she will stand the test of time. It is beautiful!

I’m curious how you guys will feel with it too 😊

Ok had a little time to check out the 48 and I love it. I’m not sure I need it but it’s really lightweight for its size. I’m used to weekend bags and found that once I packed this with weekend clothes and toiletries it was similar in weight to other weekend type bags I carry. The strap is definitely needed due to its size. The brown is gorgeous and rich and understated.
Though I’m still on the fence with it I definitely like it.

I’ve had 48 home for a couple hours & as beautiful as it is, I think it’s just too big for my lifestyle. I don’t travel, and only use a business tote maybe once per week. I can’t even visualize carrying this beast into the office it’s so damn big. 😂😂😂

As much as I loathe flaking out on my store manager, I think I’m going to return it. Maybe. Uggghhhhhhhh😁 Pics later.

The struggle is real. I feel the same but it is so darn gorgie!

This “48 Frenzy” has been so fun, but I’ve decided to return my Maple 48.

It’s Christmas and I’ve been home all day curled up on the sofa, glancing over at the dining room table where it’s been sitting. I’ve had no desire to unwrap or even touch it. It’s almost like I’m mad at it for being so freakin’ big. 😂😂😂

I’m still in love with my two 40s (Dark Navy and Honey)! Maybe when things calm down a bit, I’ll add merlot to my collection.

I’ll be watching to see what y’all decide.

❤️Merry Christmas❤️
