Coach and Costco!

Out of curiosity, I just checked out costco.com and did a search for "coach".

They had Coach Soho French Wallet for $179.99,
the Mini Wallet in black leather for $149.99,
and the Hamptons Small Hobo in white leather for $99.97

They also had the Gallery Interchangeable Bezel Women's Watch for $399.99.

I'm not at all a bag snob, I love all kinds of bags. That being said, I have to agree that designer bags being sold at stores other than high end ones, or their own boutiques/outlets isn't necessarily good for their image. If they're trying to present a more elite image of themselves, then seeing the bag at a place like Costco, won't help that. The snobby people who only buy bags because they want something nobody else can have easily, won't buy a bag because it's too readily available. We may think that kind of elitism is disgusting, but it is a fact of life.

Personally, I adore Costco and trust them wholeheartedly. Their return policy is the best I've ever encountered, and I know the designer bags they get are real. They don't get them all that often either, at least not the ones near me, so it isn't like a steady flow of bags all the time. Normally it's limited availability. I may go to Costco tomorrow and see if they have anything.

i do try to buy special unique purses , for example my
black/white zoe. i think the price was around $200 &
i'll wear it with casual clothing .

i dont think i'm considered a bag snob neither. I buy cheap & expensive purses all the time.

i guess unique/elite purses don't always have to be expensive.


does anyone know if costco in austin texas ,has coach bags?

I called Coach corporate office to inquire about the Coach bag at my local Costco. Costco people told me it was authentic. It was the sig tote for $258. I talked to April ____, can't remember her last name. Anyway, she is the person at Coach in charge of protecting the brand from counterfeits, maintaining brand integrity, etc. She said that Costco is not allowed to carry Coach and that it is not authorized by her, and she is the one it would go through. She was calling our local Coach store to send a SA over the Costco to check it out. She said I could buy it, send it to Coach for authentication.
