Hi Ann,

I just picked up a biker tote at a sale event. Everything looks good but the tag that says made in China. It bothers me a bit because it's one tag folded in the middle but with writing facing 2 different ways.. seems really odd to me. Have you seen such thing on an authentic MJ bag before?

Hi, please post a photo of the front and back of the bag, interior, and of the front and inside Marc Jacobs labels. If there’s an engraving under the zipperhead, a clear shot of that would, too, as would any hang tags/cards it came with. Also, where specifically was it purchased?

Double-sided tags aren’t unheard of, though not what I’d expect from this style, and I have some concerns about the font. Additional photos would help determine if it’s a difference between seasons. Thanks!

Thanks Ann! I didn't post other pics before coz I thought they looked good, only suspicious thing was the tag. I had a look at the identical bag at a department store they had the wider version of the black tag, however the another biker tote that's navy in color had the exact same tag as mine, hence I felt more at ease. Plus I didn't think anyone would fake this style..it was purchased at reebonz's sale event. All went well until at the end when I was paying n didn't notice another SA swapped MJ dust bag for their own. Which leads me to think what do they do with the MJ dust bag.

nylon styles used to be frequently faked, but i don't know if they are these days. reebonz has had some issues with fakes in the past (not with MJ, as far as i know, and IIRC it was a batch of bags sent out to several retailers) but generally is fine to purchase from.

the tag was the only thing that gave me pause; the font is a little different than i'm used to seeing on this style, and i can't recall an accent being over the e in fabrique. if you saw an identical tag at a department store, plus where it was purchased, you're probably fine. sorry that i can't be more definitive, but the newer styles are still too new to me to know all the variations out there.

Hi Sue, please upload clear shots of the following: the interior label, the made in tag and any other interior tags, and the other side of the white hang tag.

This is from the new Marc Jacobs line and there is no longer collection and MBMJ - it's all one label; it isn't necessarily cause for concern that the made in tag looks different from the MBMJ tags.
