Please authenticate these MBMJ Mouse Flats:

Ebay purchase: items 201238169105

I am the buyer and took these pictures. Seller said she didn't have any more pictures than what was in the listing. She shipped them in the unpadded tyvek envelope in my pictures. I am concerned that these have tails stitched on both sides of the heels and they do not feel like any of my other patent mouse flats.

I only have the studded ones so I can't say with absolute certainty that they are or aren't authentic. I will say that those do NOT look gently used to me. Your photos show much more wear than the seller's photos.

I asked before the auction if there were any folds, cracks, or tears because of the awkward auction pics. She said she didn't have more pics, but that there were not. There are a lot of small holes in the patent as well as some toenail rips inside the toes of the shoes. There are also ink marks. The patent feels very thick and heavy compared to the thinner leather on my other mouse shoes.

If these weren't broken before she shipped them, the heel counters are toast now. It looks like they were smashed flat from the top down. The heels were actually folded flat when I took them out of the envelope so they are more like an EEEEEEEE width and won't stay on.

I would tell her you want to return them. I doubt that she will offer to reimburse your shipping either way since she went to such lengths to conceal the flaws. If you decide to open a SNAD I believe that your original shipping would be refunded, but the return postage would be on you. Did the shoes come from CA or AZ? She uses both locations in her listings. Either way, it wouldn't be too $ to shove them back into that tyvek and return them.

Thanks Poopsie.

The listing said AZ, but the USPS bag was shipped from CA. I filed a SNAD for the shipping damage and requested return. I'm waiting for her to respond. The return shipping would be on her if she wants them back, and I would be happy to give them to USPS if she wants to file her own claim as the shipper.

I know the new evil returns aren't popular with sellers, but I think they were looking at her when they came up with them. This whole thing has been unpleasant. :cursing:
