Hello!
This is my first try authenticating a Cartier Mini Love Ring in 18kt yellow gold. The seller claims she bought it at the San Francisco boutique but has no authenticity card. I have two real Cartier pieces and both have little red leather portfolios with the serial number, etc. She doesn't have any paperwork. This ring is my size (very difficult to find pre-owned). Please help.

If she really bought it at the SF Boutique, ask her if she will call and obtain a copy of the paperwork. As the original purchaser, they should be able to obtain it. There are also other alternatives: 1) buy it and take it into Cartier and ask them to polish (they will run the serial number) if it's not genuine you will know right away; 2) ask her to provide the serial number and see if Cartier will confirm authenticity. Please note however, they may refuse to do this for a number of reasons; they want you to buy from the boutique rather than the secondary market; they may refuse to do this w/o seeing ring; and finally, even if they were to run the serial number this would only tell you that the serial number is valid, not necessarily that the ring is authentic.
Bottom line, make the request; if nothing else, her receptivity, responsiveness, type of response or lack of response may tell you everything you need to know.

Calling my Vintage Tiffany gals:

I bought this bracelet back in the late 1990’s from a yard sale (paid a lot) and never once thought it could be fake...that is, until the internet (literally) came about and now we have such amazing resources for authenticating! The only thing that throws me off is the stamp! It’s vintage at this point and I don’t know the exact year this was originally purchased so I’m not sure if the stamp has changed over the years. If it turns out to be a fake I will be sad, but would be a great excuse to ask my husband to buy me a new one!

-Details: heavy feeling, sterling silver, 1.3 oz.
-Stamped on clasp 925 and heart
-links are soldered but slightly oblong with wear on the underside to see the solder point
-25 links

Any info or opinions appreciated!

just look up Tiffany and co dangle necklace and it should pop up! (also my necklace has been authenticated now)

this doesnt look real to me. there should be like a regester mark before the "tiffany and co" and the stamping looks off but thats just my opinion. still extreamly cute tho!

Hello everyone, I am new to the blog. I need your advise and help on authenticating a Tiffany &Co key necklace. The seller has no receipt. The photos of the Hallmark seem to be blurry. I tried searching this on Google but I have no luck. They only item that resembles this is listed on Tiffany website but it is in platinum. The pendant I am interested in is listed as Rose gold, flower knot pendant , purchased 3 years ago. Does anyone recall if Tiffany ever made this style in gold? I am a metal detecting enthusiast. I mostly do beach and underwater detecting, but yesterday this little guy popped up in my scoop. It's tested positive for 18k gold, but I'm not sure about the branding. It was about 8" deep, so it could've been lost for a while.
