I’m not an authenticator, but referring to the first posts in this thread, I think the listing is missing some of the photos required for an accurate authentication.

Hi everyone. Thank you for helping me to authenticate this Dogon wallet - I saw this wallet on a sale at this crazy price (I knew it could be too good to be true!!!!), I paid for the item after I had a quick look of the sellers selling history and other items she’s selling. After I’ve paid I realised the hermes stamp looks quite off?? Also the sitiching on the circle looks quite bad. I know hermes leather items are stitched by hand so I’m not sure if I should be relieved that this doesn’t look like perfect machine sewing or not. Limited photo from the seller so unfortunately I couldn’t see the year stamp. This bag will also need to go through VC’s authenticity check but I’ve heard many bad things about fake items slipping through. Would really appreciate if I can get some feedbacks from you in terms of what to prepare if this comes through and it’s a fake Thank you for your time!

It could be simply that as authenticators are volunteers and do not sit all day at their screens.
Your request was for a wallet not a bag.

By the way this has been resolved. I know VC has their own quality care team to check authenticity before shipping to buyer but still they should have look closely to the listed photos also! This is so fake. I messaged seller telling her I suspect this is a fake and let's not waste each other time and cancel the trade. She cancelled it without replying my message. I guess this says it all. Thank you for reading this re my stupid and impulse decision for almost buying a fake! I have decided to go buy a brand new one from hermes now
