Currently we do not have an Hermes authenticator, you'll need to use a paid service.
Please do not ask in off topic threads for opinions or start new threads. Thanks!

Please note there is no chatting allowed on this thread.

All authenticators are volunteers and may choose to answer posts or not as they individually see fit. For guidelines on what/how to post look at the beginning of this thread.

If you find your post ignored it may be for any reason

'bumping', 'begging' or have a hissy fit will not help
'Barking' when others try to help you will not help
Playing the 'unfair' card will not help.

If reg. members see a post that does not qualify for help you are of course free to prompt the poster (or ignore) but do not get drawn into an argument.

If you find posters rude or breaking tPF rules please report.

Dear Bababei,

Many thanks for your prompt reply!
The seller tells me the bag also comes with a "chewing gum door"???? Please refer to the picture below. Do you have any idea what this "chewing gum door " is?

Thank you

Read the first post thoroughly before making a request. All requests NOT in the correct format or not meeting our rules for authentication will be ignored. In a nutshell: if the majority of your posts are for authentication, if your only posts are for authentication, if there is no link to a live, current sale, if it's a private sale.... we will not provide an authentication. All in the first post, which is in the title of this thread. Incredibly tired of having to ask this over and over and over again. And this is the primary reason why we have lost so many authenticators over the years.

Hi mistikat! I wonder if there is any way to have a minimum number of posts requirement on all of tPF's "Authenticate This ..." threads? Like if you have less than 150 posts, you can't comment in the thread? That would make it so much easier for you wonderful Authenticators and Mods!

Unfortunately, no. And there are many members with more than that post count whose only interest is free authentication. I’ve given up on people following the rules. It’s one reason why I rarely authenticate anymore.

I'm sorry, it's frustrating. I rarely use the authentication threads, but I do appreciate the efforts you all put in :flowers:

I see how often people do not follow the rules and no matter how many times it stated they clearly don’t read the first post or think it does not apply to them. That being said, I absolutely appreciate that this thread exists. There are so many scammers out there and for most people an Hermes bag is a large purchase. It’s so incredibly awesome that this group helps each other. I just hope the frustrations don’t ruin such an incredible resource we have here. Even after 12 years of collecting I still like to run things by this thread and I very much appreciate everyone that volunteers time to authenticate. Your work does not go unnoticed. [emoji173]️
Now everyone else. Please just read the first thread and follow the rules. [emoji849]
