Currently we do not have an Hermes authenticator, you'll need to use a paid service.
Please do not ask in off topic threads for opinions or start new threads. Thanks!

Please note there is no chatting allowed on this thread.

All authenticators are volunteers and may choose to answer posts or not as they individually see fit. For guidelines on what/how to post look at the beginning of this thread.

If you find your post ignored it may be for any reason

'bumping', 'begging' or have a hissy fit will not help
'Barking' when others try to help you will not help
Playing the 'unfair' card will not help.

If reg. members see a post that does not qualify for help you are of course free to prompt the poster (or ignore) but do not get drawn into an argument.

If you find posters rude or breaking tPF rules please report.

Hi, I'm not an authenticator, just a reader here, but I wanted you to know that the authenticator here is only able to answer posts with a link to a current (not sold) listing. If you purchased this, it is probably worth paying for an authentication service just for your piece of mind, though the seller is reputable I think it is always good to double check. If you did not buy it and are just wondering what the style is called, try posting in the thread called something like" Identify this Hermes bag, color or leather". They can help you figure out what it is called, but cannot authenticate for you. I hope that helps.
Great thanks for the information. I did find the name of the bag in case anyone is interested. It's called "Martine". https://www.ebay.com/itm/332326088111 Here's the link. Thank you.

Please kindly authenticate this Constance bag (auction ends tomorrow, so time is of the essence, please!)

Item: VINTAGE circa 1990 HERMES BLACK CONSTANCE 23CM HAND BAG PURSE Leather
Listing number: 222620388059
Seller: bartlett1095
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-cir...ANCE-23CM-HAND-BAG-PURSE-Leather/222620388059

Comments if any: I know the seller has only 1 feedback, but the back story seems legit (maybe I'm too naive). It's my golden birthday this year, so getting a Constance 23 for my 23rd birthday is a dream. Plus, this bag is from my birth year so I'm really hoping and praying that it's authentic. For a vintage Constance, from what I've seen at least, $4000 seems fair, but I could be wrong. Please correct me if so!blind stamp.PNG Capture.PNG top.PNG zipper.PNG stitching.PNG stamp.PNG hardware.PNG

I am not an authenticator, but in the hopes of keeping you from staying awake all night checking this site, I will tell you that it is very unlikely the authenticators will say anything about this item.

They ask everyone to read the first post in the thread, which specifies, "Authenticators will always tell you to avoid a seller with no feedback. Do not bother asking."

Even if the bag in the photos is real (I myself have no idea), and even if the person actually has that bag in their possession (remember that photos get stolen all the time), there is no guarantee that that is the bag you will receive.

It's not about whether their story is believable. It's about a proven track record of honest sales of authentic goods. The authenticators here seem to prefer to spend their time evaluating items from sources who provide as much information as possible.

Feedback from buyers is important information. When it is a blank, there is so much risk in the transaction that it is usually not worth their time to examine the rest of the listing.

Good luck in your search, wherever it leads you.

Hello! Thank you so much for taking the time to reply! I think I might have just gotten so excited at the thought of finding a bag from my birth year that I got overwhelmed (also, frustrated after scouring consigment sites for hours). A $4000 risk is a huge one, so I'll have to think about it more carefully. I really appreciate your advice! <3

Hello I'm new to Hermes bags - have several Mulberry's, can someone authenticate this Birkin style bag please?

Item: GENUINE LEATHER Tan BIRKIN Style Bag W/Dustbag Papers USED TWICE
Listing number: 263177246714
Seller: britishfashionista
Link: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GENUINE-L...246714?hash=item3d469617fa:g:OXoAAOSwOsBZpxOL
Comments if any: The seller doesn't mention the name "Hermes" anywhere in her listing - not in the title, item specifics nor description, only showing the name above the lock in several photos. The seller refers to "Papers" and there is something folded up in the main listing photo, but no photo showing what is written on the "Papers"

Hi!

I bought the below Hermes Bag from Hyde Park Country Auctions through Liveauctioneers. The bag appears to be vintage with no markings anywhere. Could you please let me know if this is real or not? Thank you!

Hi, I'm not an authenticator but thought to let you know you need to read the posting rules in the first page. The authenticators don't authentic already purchased items.
