- the leather is attached to the bag through a metal piece the same as the ones on the chain... I have only seen a D-shaped / O-shaped ring on other minis before this.
- the leather @ the strap is not one piece but 2 which caught me off guard... I have included a picture of it as well

- the font size and the material of the drawstring made me wonder

It's odd that you can't see your username on the top right corner. I'll help you out this time, but unless you have an avatar picture, the correct way to take a login shot is like in the picture I attached earlier (this way I know for sure that you are in possession of the bag).

Though some pictures are still lacking, this bag looks fine to me. No red flags seen.

Need a sharper, high resolution pic. of the serial sticker and forward facing (not angled) and in focus up close and glare-free picture of the back plate and both sides of the zipper pull (best without the blue protective sticker).

Authentic.

I have owned bags of both time periods and there is no difference in quality to me. The leather on the first bag looks a little dry to me, so I think I'd prefer the 2nd (newer) bag, though it does have some deflating on the back. What I suggest you do before making a decision, is ask for pictures of the inner pockets of both bags. Due to age and depending on humidity and how the bag was stored, the leather in those pockets is often peeled/flaky, sometimes completely gone.
