It looks okay so far but higher series items it’s necessary to see a macro shot of the serial, straight on and in focus. The seller has blurred out the details of the serial. This seller has a lot of negative feedback. Be cautious with any purchase.

I bought this in Japan from a reputable second-hand shop (pretty sure selling fakes is actually illegal here as well).The imgur upload was halted, so I'll upload the rest upon request if more info is needed.

Chanel Classic/Timeless Single Flap from 1989-1991 or so in black lambskin and gold hardware.

Came with dustbag, certificate, and it feels and to my eye, look authentic but I started worrying a bit due to the odd shape of the front flap which isn't "frowning" like most classic flaps, but I was hoping that its due to the year in which it was made, which according to the tag and certificate would have to be in the late 80s/early 90s for a seven digit code starting in "1" as well as the fact that although the tag is the right color, its incredibly hard to read, so much so that I don't think I can take a legible photo. However it does match the card when held in just the right angle and light to a human eye.


Really hoping someone could let me know if I should return it as a fake ASAP, and I'll be sure to add the other photos if its not immediately obvious from what I have shown so far. Although they have a no returns policy, they will certainly will not allow me to have a fake as it would ruin their reputation and open them up to legal liability.

Yes, it's fake. You didn't buy this from Lollipuff.com, did you? I can't imagine this would pass their inspection.

It's good. This flap is pretty rare, that's why the shape of the front flap differs from what you normally see on classic flaps.
Should've also come with a little pouch/wallet, if not lost over the years.

Pictures could be better, but I'm pretty sure it's authentic.

Very good pictures, thank you. Since this is a highly faked bag that has almost been perfected by counterfeiters, I'd like to see a few more pics. Clear macro shots of:
- the lobster claw at the end of the leather tab, both sides.
- the front and underside of the the zipper head (of the middle zippered compartment)
- another up close and in focus picture of the sticker, this time with flash
- another picture of the CHANEL MADE IN stamp, this time a little bit farther away.
