Hi
I would be ever so happy if someone could authenticate this classic flap
Item: Chanel caviar classic flap m/l
Link: https://www.trendsales.dk/listings/chanel-classic-flap/56544792?forum=140&road=my_items
Listing no:56544792
Sellerid: Radissen
Serial no: 11140542

Hello,

What a coincidence that I was googling for the serial number of this bag. This serial number is also used for another bag. So one of them must be fake. Try to google Chanel 11140542.

Some days ago I was in contact with the seller too. And there are many details on the bag that I think it is highly a fake. The seller sent me a picture with something looks like a price tag normally seen on copied designer bags (see enclosed photo) and asked her what it was and she she said it was a charm her daughter made for her. It does not like a charm. And she told me that she bought her bag on Trendsales from a user that she could not remmember (sounds weird too), and that person bought the bag on Vestiaire Collective. I then asked her about the certificate from Verstiaire Collective and she said she did not have it. Besides, the quitning looks skew and also the turning lock does not look straight even. I am not an expert, so the others could have another opinion on that.

I checked her feedbacks and it seems she has been selling a lot of designer bags, also Chanel 2.55. If she is selling fakes, at least her current selling of this fake bag to an authentic price, she must have balls.

Here are some pictures she sent to me.

Dear Authenticator, I would like to ask for you help again... someone wants to sell her chanel bag to me. I would like to ask if it’s authentic or not. I think the hologram is wrong but she is insisting that the bag is authentic.
NOTE: can’t post login shot as the bag is with the seller. She just sent the pic thru VIBER. hope you can accommodate me even without the login shot, thank you

I'm the seller of this bag in question and I am the one who urged the potential buyer to have it authenticated here.

I find this situation extremely upsetting and very unfortunate as I am a longstanding seller on trendsales.dk and member of this forum.

I have been upfront and honest about everything regarding this bag. I have never in my life owned a fake bag and would never ever sell one. On the contrary I have always urged people to have their bags authenticated here and even helped a lot of people get their money back when they had been scammed.

I own several caviar classic flaps from different seasons and in various colours (I also have the exact same in black from aprox same year) and I have never doubted the authenticity of this bag in question as it looks exactly the same as my other flaps.

As a consequence I have now closed the add and I will take it to Chanel to have them change the lock - if they refuse bc of authenticity doubt I will try to find the woman who sold me this bag and have her take it back - otherwise the money loss is on me.

Again I have never ever sold a fake bag in my life and would rather lose money than do anything as deceitful as I am now being accused of here.

FYI here is the charm that the OP is doubting exists - made by my 4 YO from a VC strap and a shell we found on the beach!

I don't know what lock you are talking about because the bag in question does not have a lock. It looks to be a blue GST from around 2017. But the hologram serial number might should have the zero with a cross through it and the ones should have feet. I think that is what the person that started the thread is asking about.

I wouldn’t let a person on the internet with no basis for her accusation (well none that I can understand really) upset you. Maybe get the bag authenticated by a paid service and then re-list with that certificate especially as you also got it secondhand. Ironic may not be here for a while so I think it’s a good idea. There is etinceler and another service the name of which slips my mind. GL.

Thank you so much.
As a bag collector for over 15 years, seller for over 10 and proud tpf'er for over 12 years I was so sad and appalled by these accusations as I have always done my utmost to ensure the authenticity of the bags I bought and sold and tried to make sure my buyers had a good buying experience.

That being said this is definitely a sobering experience and even though I am the first one to admit we can all make mistakes in regards to superfakes and scammers, I still think this one checks out.

However I will absolutely 100% have it authenticated right away and after I will perhaps relist. I will definitely not be selling anything before it has had its authenticity thourougly documented.
