I found this bag online.

It is supposedly "guaranteed authentic," but I did some Googling.

It is obviously supposed to be part of Betsey's tie breaker collection, but I have not found this bag. I just see the same three bags.

Is this a fake?

I'm planning on spending my birthday money on this.

Hi all,

I have wanted a specific, i think 2 seasons ago bag. Recently I found it on two sites. One of which I know sells a lot of other fakes and another i've not heard of?
i know the likelihood of fakes of BJ are rare because they aren't a super higher end product, but I also don't want to waste my money.

Any help or info would be appreciated.

Hi. I saw your post. I'm no Betsey Johnson expert but I checked out the Zappos video for this bag and it looks just like the ones pictured in your links. That said, those are obviously stock photos so who knows what you would actually get in the mail if you ordered it.

If you really have your heart set on this style I'd say order it from whichever of the sites has the better return policy just in case it's not as described/pictured.

FYI, there ARE fake Betsey Johnson bags, I even saw some fake "Betseyville" bags on the eBay forums once. Basically, if a brand has any manufacturing in China there are probably some fakes floating around somewhere.

I kno betsey johnson isnt that high end of a brand but it is well known and loved. I wished there were a sub forum in the bags, bags, bags for BJ. Anyways can anyone tell me if this is leather or pleather? Thanks!

Hi everyone, I wish there was a sub for just Betsey Johnson also because they are well known and loved bags. I recently purchased an embossed heart blush pink wallet from a Poshmark seller and would love to get anyone’s input on whether this wallet is fake or not. I have attached photos to this post. The inner wallets I’ve seen that have been embossed tend to be black inside.

I agree with the tag switch being the only way but unlikely. I worked at macys and i know people would make a return with a tag on something old they have so they can keep the new thing for free but they woulnt use a knockoff to replace it. They could sell that, take some no name brand and sow betsy tags all over some 5 dollar bag. They know all the employees and look out for young, nervous girl. They talk her up and ask a lot of questions. Always act super confident to make her more nervous. Then, the stuff we sent to Burlington and those stores was after markdown. An item will go down to 4.99 and put on the 75% off rack and if it doesn't sell for that, the next mark down in .01¢ . Thats when we toss it all back to shipping and receiving....and it goes to those stores. So tons of odd sizes and things they bought a lot of...they wont all sell... especially in handbags. Every style has a few left over. The employees catch it first though. Lol. Betsy johnson in general didn't sell good at my location because it was a lot of older woman employees and shoppers. I Always hit up that jewelry section!!!! I still have 2 pairs of earrings that look great after like 15 years.

I found this vintage Betsey Johnson it still has the original tag on the item. I believe it is leather or lamb but the tag inside the bag says made in India only. It says full metal Betsey on the tag with the original price of $359. If anyone can give me any more information on the materials or anything else about this cute bag I would appreciate it.
