It is difficult to say for sure on either of these, but I would err on the side of fake on the scarf and real on the bag. With all due respect to Brooklyn Babe, you cannot de-authenticate a bag this easily. She says the snakeskin is real and although it may look fake to you, it looks real to me and she would be attempting to defraud buyers by saying the snakeskin is genuine when it is not. Also, if you look at the feedback from this seller, she has sold another AMQ bag that was pre-owned and received positive feedback from it. He/she does not seem to be a "bulk seller" of these bags as many other sellers on Ebay who sell fakes are in the business of selling many and frequently. This seller is small time so it is quite possible the bag is real, and maybe she is just trying to get rid of it so she is selling cheap. The pictures are really pretty and I think the buyer should just ask the seller outright if it is authentic. If he/she states that it is, then they are held by that through buyer protection. If it is not real or maybe it was a gift or something, then the seller should tell you. Also, I own 4 AMQ clutches and I have two with pearls for eyes and no pearls in the bags. You should look at Saks Fifth Avenue website to see the different variations. Depending on the age of the bag, the details will always vary. The crystals in the pictures look very high quality, which is another gorgeous trait of AMQ bags. They use the best quality crystals in the world. Lastly, this seller states that it is python leather, not just snakeskin which is very hard to fake without it being totally obvious. I think the quality of this bag is there, but this is just my opinion. I have been lucky not to get stung by fakes, but I buy all my AMQ bags from AMQ stores and boutiques. Never off of Ebay. Not all of the AMQ clutches that have pearl eyes are on the pearl bags. I just went to look at the 4 that I have, and 2 of them have pearl eyes. As I looked at all of the AMQ clutches on Ebay, I noticed that about 50% of them have pearl eyes and none of them are bags with pearls in the fabric. In fact, all of the Union Jack leather AMQ bags have pearl eyes. Not that this means anything, I'm just sayin...

If this is your first AMQ bag, you should buy straight from an AMQ authorized retailer. This way, you have something to compare future purchases to. I wouldn't gamble on Ebay as a first-timer. This is not just a fake, but a horrible one at that. File a claim through Paypal and get your money back. If you need proof, take it to the AMQ store in Essex or Harrods. I don't think Selfridge's even sells AMQ??? Poor thing...I am really sorry. This is an awful replica.

Yes, I looked at the link. I live in NYC and counterfeits are on every street corner. For every high-end bag albeit Coach, LV, Alexander McQueen, Chanel etc there is a fake. That is how the fraudsters make their money, by replicating the real thing. The Union Jack AMQ clutches have been replicated for years, that does not mean the real ones do not exist. If you are in doubt, don't buy it. That is the safest.

I don't really know. Technically, if you have not purchased the clutch yet it is not your possession to post. This is a public forum, so if you don't own it (the receipt) it is illegal unless she gave you the right to do so. With public documents the problem becomes an issue of privacy. If she included it in the sale with the merchandise, then it is yours to do whatever you want and post where ever you want. If you have not purchased the bag and she is only giving you the receipt to verify authenticity then I would say it is probably not a good idea to post it in a public forum. Anyone can copy it and use it, alter it and pass it off as their own.
