It is a sample, apparently, so no box or dust bag I am afraid. That, how ever would back up the fact that it might be a sample, which would explain why neither of us have seen it in stores. All this police work over a bag; but you do get paranoid after you´ve been fooled once online.

I'm fairly certain the first one is fake as I've seen quite a few of those being sold on the 'Bay in the past.

The second one is a well-made fake but still a fake. I don't know what kind of receipt the seller is offering.

I hope another tPFer chimes in however.

thanks for the help SchnauzerCrazy! It's scary to see how many fakes there are on ebay. i guess it's just safer to buy one from the stores, although there are no AMQ stores where i am currently. :push:

That item is counterfeit. These scarves retail for well over $250 now, and the seller has sold multiples of the same item, another sure sign that they bought them in bulk from a counterfeiter.

i don't know much about alexander mcqueen, but i can tell it's fake because the seller is selling 3 of the same ones in her other listings.
one thing to keep in mind: just because it seems NWT doesn't mean it's real--if they can make a replica item, they can make a replica tag.
