Cleaning Plisse scarves

Did anyone ironed flat a plisse scarf? If pleats lost their shape, for a change, to make the print more visible, or any other reason...
If yes, how does it look ironed? Same as unpleated? Or traces of pleats are still noticeable??

I am doing a test run with a repleater. I have an older "Cuivreries" in cream with a green border. It has been abused in it's past but I am fond of it. I figure to use it to try out the pleaters and see how they do. I have been measuring the plisse size and as best I can tell the pleats are 3/16" deep. Anyone have an alternate estimate? I also dislike dry cleaned silk and plan on giving the scarf a bath to start her off immaculate before having her pleated. I figure if I don't like the results I can just wear her until she's soiled again and then clean and iron her and will back where I am right now!
