was visiting another country last week, stumble upon cartier boutique and had to go in to try the clash one more time before deciding to add it into my collection.
however, I found an influencer post where her clash bracelet suddenly opened, and I don’t think she notice (I attached the photo).

I have a bit of a trauma when it comes to losing jewelry, I recently I lost my late mother tennis bracelet. I lost something very important to me, as my mother used to wear it often.

Does anyone knows if clash is a really secure bracelet? IMG_9368.webpIMG_9610.webp

Hello, I really need some advice. I bought the medium model clash bangle in a size 15. My wrist around the bone is roughly 15cm.

I am not sure if I purchased the right size though. It fits snug on my wrist (not too snug) and doesn’t turn around. I can feel it against my wrist bone though.

Today I went into the store and tried both the clash and regular JUC (which I also want to buy) in size 16. They feel comfortable, turn on my wrist but not all the way round. The size 15 had much less movement.

Please see

Looking at the pictures I think 15 looks like they has enough movements on you. Do you have pictures of how low the 16 sits does it hit your palm at all. I have a snug stack 17 love cuff and 15 sm JUC which I don’t enjoy much wearing during summer time due to the heat they get stick to my skin, but other times I love love wearing them bc they are perfect fit and still with some movements. I also have a loose stack 16 am clash and 16 classic JUC more movements than my cuff and sm JUC but I love that I am not restricted especially I m planning to add more in to my stack the future. So if you are planning to build your stack then I would suggest u to go for loose fit. Hope that helps.

I read a member here Bailey(?) who lost her clash. She said the lock was loose, and she was supposed to bring it in for service before she noticed it was gone from her wrist.

I think she ended up replacing it for another size clash or buying the Tiffany lock bracelet.

The locks are a hit or miss. Definitely bring it in if it pops open randomly.

I’m sorry hearing about losing your mom’s bracelet. My friend wears her grandmother’s necklace and pendants since she was a teen. She’s in her 40s now and still wears them. The pendants are all bundled together which makes an interesting look. It is sentimental to her without a doubt.

Mine popped open 2-3x and I thought it in. However it was onto the top latch and not the bottom latch. It is pretty secure. I think you’re bound to have a few issues with some pieces. Since fixing it I haven’t had any issues. I did fix it the first time and had ocd and kept opening and closing it. Learned my lesson the second time haha

Thanks for your advice. Unfortunately I don’t have a picture of how low the size 16’s sit on my Palm (although it so low that it looked wrong). However I do have a photo of how far they go up my arm. Because I’m so used to wearing loose bracelets, the size 16’s felt more comfortable. Plus I live in a hot country so I’m leaning towards going for the bigger size. What is your wrist size please?

I noticed that almost everyone here is into the Clash bangle without diamonds. My WG collection are entirely non diamond while my gold comprise of Rainbow/Menotte and a single Diamond cuff. I saw the RG Clash Medium when I was there to get my cords changed…. Bad day for my wallet …

I'm not into the ring with diamonds (because I can barely see them), I never said I'm not into the bracelet with diamonds! That's beautiful!

Had free time to search and found the thread!

I think she ended up with the Tiffany pave lock bracelet before the crazy price increases. I personally cannot swallow the hike in Tiffany prices myself so I stay away. lol. But I think I read those bracelets are very secure.

I have a Clash size 14 (small) and size 15 (medium) with a wrist size 13.5, so similar sizes comparatively. They both fit fine and both are comfortable. I prefer the smaller size for stacking 3 or more and the larger size for wearing alone or with one other bracelet. It’s a slightly different look and a slightly different vibe, I think the fit for either a size can be correct and comfortable.

Actually I like how low 16 sits on your arm in this picture I feel like it looks more feminine with a bit more loose fit. That’s why I went with 16. Believe my wrist should be 15 but was never measured. When I was getting my sm JUC (my first cartier piece) SA just looked at my wrist and gave me 15 to try I also asked for 16 to try on and I actually liked the fit of 16 more but he was keep on telling me the bracelet should fit snug and 16 said was too big on me. Thinking back now I should have went with my instincts. So I would not go with what wrist size should go with what bracelet size. Instead I would go with what size feels more comfortable on you when try on. Hope that helps.

Perfect advice! There are multiple wrist shapes and forearm proportions/shapes too. Wrist measurement is useful but I wouldn’t use it alone to determine sizing. How jewelry feels and looks is more important than any size number, and you need to go with what feels right to you.

According to my wrist measurement 16.5cm, I “should” wear a size 18 love, but my wrist is too flat for 18. Because of the placement of the screw mechanisms inside the bangle and my wrist shape, both screw mechanisms were touching my wrist so it couldn’t move at all. I needed size 19 for it to be able to move comfortably.

I don’t have the Clash bracelet but I do have the small model ring. My Clash ring sis much larger than any SA would recommend; I can shake it (and all of my other rings) off pretty easily if I wanted. I hate the feeling of tight rings so I buy them to fit loose because that’s more comfortable for me.

Please take LoveCartierForever’s advice and get the size that *feels* comfortable to you.

I definitely agree that you should go with what feels comfortable, especially since we all have different preferences in what we like in terms of snug or loose fit and if you’re stacking or not.

I went to the store yesterday and took my time to try both sizes on. First I tried the medium clash in size 16 alone and it just looked too big. I could also easily turn it around my wrist. I want to buy the regular JUC as my next piece so tried that together with the clash and the size 16 JUC felt comfortable but was hanging to one side which the SA said it shouldn’t do.

So I tired both bracelets in size 15 and they seemed to fit much better. The JUC stayed in place but was leaving marks on my skin for the short time I had it on. Is this normal?

I also tried the small clash with the regular JUC but preferred the look of the medium clash. I think with a bigger stack the small size would look better though.

After all the back and forth with sizing I think and hope I’ve made the right choice. Currently I’m wearing my medium clash bracelet (size 15) with my Cartier cord bracelet and hoping to get the regular JUC soon.

Thanks to all of you for your help and advice with sizing.

In my opinion the Clash is a very secure bracelet :)

Nice selection! For additional data regarding size, I wear the medium Clash in 15 and regular JUC in 16… both are comfortable and don’t overlap.
