I just purchased the clash ring with diamonds but didn’t know it was rose gold. My SA knows I’m into YG but didn’t mention since I also like diamonds. The diamond version only comes in rose gold. It is hard to tell that its RG because apparently the RG in small rings isn’t very pink but I might really love the YG better. I’m thinking of returning it for now and wait for a YG with diamonds. However, I’m not sure if they will ever release it and most likely prices will be higher by then. What do guys think?
From what we know, the clash line partly gets its name for being a RG/YG mix but it appears rosier. This is also why it looks good with both metals. I would keep it. I have my clash ring from about 3 years ago and would totally "trade up" to this version if I could!

Advice needed please.

I already own the RG Clash hoops and small ring. I always loved the bracelet. I wanted to get a proper YG (non love) bangle. I had plans on purchasing something within the next month or so but now the YG clash has come out so it caught my attention. Should I consider getting it (even in another metal) when I have several pieces already from this collection?

First and foremost, buy what makes you happy—if YG Clash feels like your dream piece, go for it! Personally, I’d stick to the same gold color as your existing pieces. Mixing metals within the same line would bother me, and I always prefer having the option of a perfectly matched set. Since you’ve had your items for a while, you likely know whether you truly love them. If RG suits you, great! If not, you can always sell them and restart your collection in YG.

Thank you! I wear both metals regularly so I’m not too worried about mixing metals but I do think YG looks slightly better on me. I never really thought about having a “set” per se. I just really like clash in general. I am looking at similar (or higher priced) options that have diamonds so there’s always that curve ball

The serpenti s is a diff fit than serpenti 15 (with the new sizing - even tho they say it’s equivalent to a s). My serpenti is slightly smaller than my 15 clash. Sigh. How long ago did you purchase the Serpenti?
Every piece of serpenti even with the same sizing can differ in the circumference a little bit. I have tried a 15 that fits quite well around my wrist and another 15 that is also a bit looser.

So for the clash there are there two bangle sizes? Small and medium? I’m not taking about the flexible model…

The small is 7,900 USD and the medium is 10,200.

Does anyone have a picture of the two side by side? I’m wondering if the medium is THAT much larger, heavier, etc.

Is it fair to assume that the difference is comparable to that of other lines? Ie the reg/sm love and the reg/sm JUC. is the medium considerably more heavy gram weight, substantial in size, etc. than the small clash model?

Here is the medium (WG) next to the small (RG), there is also a larger model where the spikes only go partway around. When worn, I do not think the difference is as noticeable in size. Holding them, I can tell a difference in weight, but when wearing them I don’t really notice.

Thank you so much. This is helpful. I guess my next question is if you had to pick only one of the models…which do you prefer? Does it make sense to buy the medium model over the small for the modest 2k difference in price?

Also, because I know you’re such a wealth of information (thank you), do you feel that the REG JUC is heavier than either or both of the clash pieces? I’m trying to make a decision between a clash piece and the reg JUC without having to make the drive to the nearest Cartier location.

You are welcome. I prefer medium for stand alone and small for stacking. Medium does move up and down the arm more because it is a big heavier (momentum). They are both extremely comfortable for me. Regular JUC is not that comfortable for me because the head digs into my skin when it moves up my arm (may not be a problem if you get the non-pave head version, because it is the diamonds on the head that cut my skin, I think). I ended up selling "my size" in the Regular JUC and buying the size up (I have 13.5 cm wrist, 16 Love and 15 JUC, 14 Clash, but I ended up selling 15 JUC and getting 16 JUC so that it is roomy and cannot possibly dig in). If I could only choose one, it would be the Clash, but it also depends on sizing. For me, Clash 14 fits perfectly. I am sort of between sizes for JUC and Love (would be 15.5 Love ideally).

I figured I’d weigh in since I have the small clash and regular JUC (with diamonds). I have gone through phases preferring one over the other. They are both gorgeous pieces. However, if I had to choose one I think my vote goes to the JUC. It’s more visually interesting and is a real iconic Cartier piece. I do not notice a difference between the weight and find them both comfortable.

Ultimately (and this is the worst response you can get when looking for advice), you can’t go wrong!

Have fun deciding!

I thought that your name sounded familiar, I quoted a post from last year responding to your thread with my advice about Clash vs JUC. I see that I am consistent at least!
I find the Clash to be the most comfortable bracelet I own and I have worn many different bracelets. The points are flexible and rounded so they do not dig in, and do not get caught in anything. Equally comfortable are the Perlee options from VCA, but might not match your aesthetic. I love the JUC, but the small gets caught in my sheets at night and the regular digs into my skin at the nailhead (there is room, but it will rest higher up on my arm where it can dig). I never really liked the small Love, but I added one in a unique combo and it is so comfortable also! The regular Love is too sharp on the edges for me to wear without noticing it, though I have worn them for years at a time in stretches. I do have very sensitive skin, so if it works for me, most likely it will work for you. I also have 3 very young kids, so I understand the need for something rugged that can get wet and easily cleaned.

Yes… I asked this question last year but ended up getting derailed. I bought a few VCA pieces instead because I was in Singapore and they were readily available there. Anyway, this year I’m looking to purchase a few more Cartier pieces and I’m still finding it difficult to decide especially now that the clash is offered in YG so thank you for your advice :)
