Hi! Wanted to share and see if anyone had any advice or if anything similar happened to them. In June I bought the Clash bracelet from the Cartier store in New York (flagship). I’ve worn it everyday since but i do take it off to exercise etc. Yesterday when I went to put it back on I noticed that the clasp had broken off. I was SO upset. I went to the store today to have it fixed and instead of being apologetic they told to expect to pay to have it repaired. I’m beyond upset at this point. I treat all my jewelry with care and cannot be believe they won’t accept responsibility for a faulty bracelet. Has anyone had a similar issue? One thing I’m certain of is that i will never buy another Cartier piece again if this how they treat their customers.

:shocked:OMG! I have not heard of any problems with this bracelet. This is concerning. I have an appointment this weekend to get something from this line. I have had such a hard time deciding which piece 1st. I keep going back and forth between the ring, bracelet, and necklace. Maybe the earrings.

Reading this I think I'll pass on the bracelet for now. I'll add it later.

:flowers:Please keep us updated on how Cartier handles this repair for you.

For what it’s worth, I take mine on and off daily for nearly 2 years and it is perfect. I wouldn’t assume this experience would be universal.

Totally agree with you, Cartier should repair it with apologies!
I realize this is an older post just adding below for reference. Apologies for caps however this is as it was written online…
“FOR A PERIOD OF TWENTY-FOUR MONTHS FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE, CARTIER WILL, IN ITS SOLE DISCRETION, REPAIR OR REPLACE ANY COMPONENT FOUND TO BE DEFECTIVE AS A RESULT OF A MANUFACTURING DEFECT FREE OF CHARGE UNDER THIS CARTIER LIMITED WARRANTY. THIS WARRANTY IS THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY.”

Replying to this old post. I am starting to have issue with mine where the top hinge pop open on its on. I bought mine last late Sept 2022 in Chicago boutique and rarely taken it off. It's only barely 9 months and still in honeymoon stage with this bracelet so I am very careful with it. I reached out to the cartier customer support chat and the agent told me their jewelries doesn't come with warranty! whhhaaatttt? So now I am just going to go back to the boutique and have this look at! The kind of stress I dont need.

That's frustrating! I'm sure it must be covered and dealt with under warranty! Re the CS reply: look in the papers they gave you with your purchase - warranty conditions are written out there. Also, state regulations may (and in my country do) stipulate the minimum warranty protection that the brand must honor for local sales (irrespective of the brand's own warranty policies), and although retail buyer protection regulations are different per country/state, I still don't think it can be that bad in IL so as to allow "no warranty" retail sales.

Thank you! I phoned the boutique and someone told me to bring it in and it should be free of charge but they won't be able to tell without examining the bracelet. I need to dig around for my receipt and such. The only thing I keep on hand is the authentication card. Nothing says about warranty so I am hoping their customer rep service is dead wrong.

Over here, they put a small "book" with each purchase where, besides the marketing fluff and maintenance advice, Warranty/International Guarantee is stated... Keep us posted!
Just googled consumer protection situation in IL, and here's a rather old article: https://www.natlawreview.com/articl...claiming-warranties-and-consequential-damages. Unless the legislation changed, it says warranty disclaimer must be spelled out directly, openly etc...
You know, for future large purchases, I'd actually consider either making sure full warranty services are offered/honored or ordering from another state, where they don't allow warranty waiver/disclaimer and leave you all alone to face the brand's internal policies...
