OMGGGGG. So I've been seriously considering getting this one for months, as it's still available online where I live. I really appreciate these modshots so I can see how it looks! Super pretty on you.
Thank you very much Ajaxbreaker.
It is really beautiful. Very light and adds lots of chicness if I can say. It makes me love moussies so much. Would love to add others after life becomes normal again.
Let me know if you get it.

BDG moussie 140 in pink and marine. I find it effortlessly chic. Love it. Think @bunnycat is my twin on this one. Thanks for enabling me ..
This is really pretty. It's the quadri tattoo, right? It almost looks like it has a kind of watered silk effect. Is that right? Is it just two colors with it reading almost like there are two shades of blue because of the way it is folded/layered?

Hi Awillow. Thank you.
My english is not perfect and I dont understand watered silk.. What I can say is it is almost kind of shining under sunlight. But it is very subtle and beautiful.
Yes it is the quadri tatoo. It is only marine and pink. I add the website photo so that you can see that the two bride are asymetric and the colors are switched . Meaning the bottom part of the bride is not the same color as the top part.
I think that is what gives the feeling that there are various shades of blue and pink when you fold it..
My english is not perfect sorry. But let me know if you need more info.

Thanks, Chanel. Your English is perfect, and your description was really helpful. :flowers: I wish my boutique would get one of these in to try, but they haven't ordered them.

Watered silk (sometimes called moire silk) has kind of a wavy pattern to it, like the photo attached. No color change, but it has a pattern in sheen/texture, like ripples (or I think, wood grain.)moiree_silk.png

Yes- that taffeta is what you call "watered silk" or Moire'. I think the effect comes from a finishing technique after the fabric is woven. It's not built in to the fabric with moire' taffeta and will eventually get "pressed" out after repeat uses over time.

The moussie (I believe) looks a little like this because of the way the layers of fabric are interacting with the light source. I think you see it more on these BdG because the color scheme is so limited, as opposed to some of the older mousses with lots of pattern. But I have another ( personal and unconfirmed) theory that the "hand" of these chiffons from the last couple of seasons is a litter tighter or with more tightly twisted threads in warp and weft and so has slightly more body to them than the older ones do and that may be contributing as well and making the light interact a little differently than you may be used to.
