After a year of waiting to be very sure I still wanted it, I finally caved and bought the red/black BdG 140 mousseline when we made our weekend trip to the boutique (where we got to meet up with the super fab @Jbizzybeetle ) :yahoo: . First time I've been in 2 years! (The scarf counter was very busy too!)

Finn, Bunny and Fiona were thrilled we made it home (to give them dinner.... ) And I really need to scrub our white grout.....  I guess that's on the agenda for this week.

Now that is a statement moussie! So bold, so beautiful! I saw the fuchsia in the store but didn’t even try it on lest I be tempted. Maybe I should’ve, though, because it’s ties so beautifully. Congrats!!

It surely is! Thank you Joannadyne!

I tried to take a few up close pics. I think this was woven in red and over-printed in black because in the sunshine, the red base shows through the black dye (paint...there is no such thing as black silk dye) and gives it a shimmer somewhat like a changeant and a moving aubergine cast in highlighted areas.

It also has a 2 color contrast hem that changes in every quadrant from red to black to contrast the overall pattern:

And with Frieda showing the changeover spots on the borders . The black quadrants have red hems and vice versa. (Fiona's fish toy is in the background... )

Oh, wow, I didn’t notice the contrast hem alternating in color like that, cool!! And also I didn’t notice the sparkly quality in the store but then my store has terrible light. I’ll have to check this one out! Thanks for sharing the details.

My pleasure! You could surely rock this, especially when you want a "tough chic/chick" vibe. I imagine the pink/black would have similar features. Wish I'd looked at all the ones they had of this, but it was so busy, and I felt bad taking up so much time already.

Fabulous... in those colors, it looks very “tango”!

:congrats: on your new mousseline @bunnycat! Love how you always show the close up of the weaves.

How apt that you just posted, as my latest find is twins with yours! :giggle: I'm pleased to see that 90cm mousselines are back in production but the new design (Caleche Elastique Finesse) leaves me cold, so I turned to the resale market and nabbed this!

Presenting Méditerranée in 90cm, my first 90cm mousseline. Love the simplicity of this. :tender:

Thank you! And congrats twin!!! :hugs: This one always ties so nicely. (And I totally agree about the new 90s....hmmmmm...... and it is so bizarre about the price, because the bandana mousse was very reasonable in comparison to regular bandana pricing so I was a little shocked at the price tag of $550...) :confused1:

Congrats!
What a spectacular addition. The alternating hem & peek of red thru black are details that I wouldn’t have noticed w/o your mention.
