D - this one is stunning - congrats on your new mousse! You are quickly becoming the mousseline queen!.

Thx lanit, it's 33 degrees celsius outside & unless I am impartial to a naked neck, a mousseline is the way to go! Hence the rapid accumulation of moussies!

Wow, DLee, yet another stunning mousse. I love this one on you, it is gorgeous!!

Thx Luvbolide, of all the moussies in my collection, this is my favourite. My SA told me the boutique has ordered another cw, I'd like to acquire that one as well. I love the design too much!:D

Superb etoile! I swear, I want to be you when I grow up ;)

You always say the nicest things, textilegirl! So glad you liked seeing them!

As usual etoile - heavenly and sublime mousselines. So utterly gorgeous.

Many thanks dear lanit, so nice of you! Hope you are doing well!

I love your Le Monde est Vaste. I love bright contrasting colors but seeing your lovely collection, I suspect I love soft colors as well! Lovely moussies!

Thank you, D Lee! :smile1: You've acquired such a lovely collection, I'd love to see a family portrait! I seem to gravitate to the soft and neutral colorways of mousselines, but they have been scarce to nonexistent in recent seasons!

Wow! Love your collection.

Sending many thanks, hiyopura! :smile1:

I started my moussie collection only since March this year, so I really don't know much about changeants. All I know is that the main base color of the moussie looks differently at different angles. So your best course of action would be to put the changent on & view it at different angles & see if u like what u see. As regards this Karnac moussie, my SA told me other cws would be coming out. Hope u like one of them.

Thx, D Lee!

For me, it was difficult taking pictures of moussie's. Had them on bed, and tried with curtains both drawn and not drawn. These pictures do not do these moussie's justice.

Here are some notes:
1) Chasse En Inde - 01 purple. I think a particularly pretty stole

2) Coup de Fouet - this picture is deceptive. If you are a "spring" or have green in your eyes, the chartreuse should make those eyes pop. I think the shawl photographed, "dull" but it is not - it looks better on, than in a picture - I guess you would say it "ties well".

3) Pink Flots - this is the stole which is advertised on the Hermes site. The truest picture is the one with the tag. It is bright

4) Blue Flots - I was not going to get the blue - had the pink Glad I did it is a very pretty scarf. Much brighter and livlier than picture.

5) Chasse Lipstick corail prune (06) - pictures do not do this scarf justice. Truest picture is the picture with the tag

6) Quadrige - 06 this has been posted before, my pic is relatively useless

7) Quadrige - 02 Azur/Kaki/Petrol the kaki seems to show my eyes (greenish) Again, relatively useless pic.

8) Chasse 5 The Blue Jean Mauve this is a beauty which pictures do not do justice
It has a lavendar, grey, beigey, peachey tone with that beautiful pink border - IMO it is a sophisticated stole, but yet so sweet with that pink border.

9) Soie Polo - very pretty Blue Lac Vert 05. Very pretty combo o greens and blues,
a very happy stole.

Sorry my pictures were so limited, and this is not really organized. I have limitations re: technology and for me it is a challenge to capture the magic of moussie's . Hope this was a little helpful, and not a frustration, best, Bonnie

Bonnie, these are so pretty! Thanks for taking the time to post. I have so been enjoying my moussies in the warm weather since I can't wear my beloved GM cashmeres!

My fellow moussies, I am so happy to announce that I am twins with D Lee on cw 01 of the Ors Bleus D'Afrique 140 cm mousse!! It takes my breath away and the changeant is AMAZING! This cw is very "fun" with the pops of chartreuse and neons, but the primary fuchsia and turquoise colors I will happily wear all year-round.

Here are some pictures which of course do not truly capture the magic of the changeant (fuchsia to turquoise). I find the border color very unusual - I am not sure what color it is but it matches Crevette IRL, definitely a peachy orange.

I am so glad the Ors mousse has finally arrived in the US -- eagerly awaiting sightings of other cws from other TPFers!!

Ok, this is officially on my MUST have list, it is sooooooo pretty! Congratulations! I bet it looks totally amazing!

Another Galop Chromatique - Bleu Glacier/Violine/Bleu

Oh my, this is stunning! The colors just blend so beautifully! Congratulations!

Hi Bonnie,
My SA called me yesterday & I finally picked up what I had been waiting for for almost 2 months. This is Chevaux de Karnak 342731cw9 Fuchsia jaune/orange/canard. Is this what u have been looking for? My SA said other cws are coming so u can always wait if this is not the color u want. Good luck!

D, another fantastic edition to your blossoming collection! I have not seen this pattern before, now I must go check it out! Congratulations!

Hello my fellow mousseline fans! Just stopping by to post my small collection. All three are the 140cm, GM size.

Vinci - from 2004 - designed by Francoise Heron
Carnets de Bal - from 2007 - designed by Cathy Latham
Le Monde est Vaste - from 2011 - designed Le by Cyrille Diatkine

E, three beautiful and classic moussies! I bet they all tie/wear beautifully! Thanks for sharing!

So much to catch up on here! :woot:

I've been nobly avoiding this thread because I was trying to avoid temptations, since I knew I was headed to the Paris H sale. Now that that's over, time to plan my next mousseline moves, with the help of these beautiful photos you've all been posting.

.

I got a call from my SA & really thought 'my' Karnac has arrived, only to be told it would arrive probably in autumn. But still, I went to the boutique & picked up the new long-awaited Afrique & quadrige moussies. Sth was very wrong with my cellphone camera & I have decided to photograph the quadrige stole when I have dug up my camera. So only the lousy Afrique pictures for now! :smile1:

D Lee and kittyHawk, congratulations on this one! You are both very lucky to have found this one. The one Ors Bleus moussie I've seen in person so far was a very sedate neutral colorway-- personally I am much more excited by this rainbow version you've picked up!

Sbelle, this pattern is serenely beautiful in these colors! I bet it ties beautifully too.

D Lee! :faint: You are killing me here! This is like the cherry on top of your already amazing collection. I adore how this looks tied. Have you seen any of the other colorways yet? I feel like I might have found my next target here.

Etoile de Mer, these are all gorgeous! I just picked up Le Monde est Vaste as well, although sadly not in this elegant colorway. (Yours was the one I was most hoping to find, although the pattern is gorgeous in every colorway, so I can't complain!)

Bonnie, what a spectacular collection! Please keep posting when you make new additions. Seeing mousselines just never gets old to me-- they are always doing something different-- showing different colors-- or just falling into new folds that make patterns I've seen before seem totally new.

Whew, now that I'm caught up... I have a couple of new moussies to add, although I shouldn't really say "new," since they're both from past seasons. One is the 90cm purple Parures des Maharajas, which some of you may recall I was ecstatic to find available through It's All Goode several months ago. (I'm a bit obsessed with this pattern, which I had already acquired in peach.) I had the purple version shipped to my home in the US so I wouldn't have to add on import taxes in the EU, and I've only just been able to go back to see it in person. This mousse is super hard to photograph, because the beauty of the pale finesse pattern in the center and the watercolor sponge-paint effect on the edges seem to elude my camera every time. I've tried, though!

Just as I was about to post this, I noticed the same one has popped up on eBay-- I know nothing about the seller, so please investigate him or her first-- but can I enable one of you to join me in the joy of this pattern and colorway? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hermes-scar...33934?pt=US_Scarves_Wraps&hash=item51aeaeac4e

Second (and sadly last for now!), Le Monde est Vaste in a mess of cotton-candy colors. I've been after this pattern for a while and am very pleased to find it, though I'd still love to find Etoile de Mer's colorway one day.

What I'm not so pleased about is that H seems to have taken it upon itself to put a hole through the edge of the scarf. I assume this must be their new way of marking sale scarves in lieu of the S stamp. On this dark-bordered scarf, I'd much rather they have stamped the S (which wouldn't show through) than stab my lovely scarf (which will show if I remove the care tag)!

Thx,hopiko! At first I really didn't want this moussie since I've got 3 Afrique 90s. But resistance was futile & finally I succumbed to the temptation!

This is the only cw I have seen. I've already got a few moussies of different red shades & really should not have gotten another one. But of the 9 moussies I have amassed, this is the one that sings the loudest to me!

Sending congratulations, calexandre, on your new mousselines! Both of these are lovely! And I truly applaud anyone, who can face an H sale, and come out with a treasure. Maybe the hole is just displaced threads? Get out a magnifier to check. ;) If no threads are broken, it can likely be massaged back into place. sparklelisab recently had a puncture wound in one of her mousselines. She had success by getting the area damp. If just getting it damp is not enough, I'd then try holding the mousse on either side of the hole, and gently move the mousseline up and down, while very gently, pulling taught a bit. But do check for broken threads before doing this! Let us know...

Sending best wishes in finding the brown/blue Le Monde at some point. I'm always amazed that scarves I long for eventually pop up for sale. Until then, you have this wonderful, summery version! :smile1:

Gorgeous, Calexandre! I have the same Marahajas...paid a premium on eBay and also saw that Greenjade has one up on eBay for so much less! It is not an easy scarf to come by and she is a great seller of H scarves!!

Love your Le Monde est Vaste - I sure hope that H isn't going to move from S stamps to holes - eek. Hopefully you can somehow massage yours out. It is a beautiful scarf, that's for sure!!

I envy you being able to go to the Paris sale...I hope to make it there next year!!
