Cheapest country to buy LV

Do you know what the Trevi PM is in Stockholm?

Its cheaper in Europe than the US -France is the cheapest- I was going to buy in the US this year but even with the good rate of Euro to dollar it was still more expensive plus you guys in the US have in most states to add on your sales tax % in Europe the price on the label is the price at the till in all stores ( well it is in the UK and Ireland) plus in Ireland you guys can claim be the VAT on your way home.

I also think it's France. But I think it's quite the same price in germany.

wow, so would it be safe to order a bag from the france lv site you think? I'm getting ready to purchase one and that would save me money!

If you purchase online from France, you still have to pay duty & customs when it is shipped to your house. Unless you know of someone in France, have them ship it to you as a gift. It can be risky if the shipment is lost and you really can't claim insurance on it.

I've done several purchases from the US then shipped to Canada. My brother & sil live in US and they often pass things along to me.

for usa, try the usa territory guam. no taxes.

I will check prices in Germany and Ireland at the end of the month. I can't tell from reading this thread which country will be the best for a Canadian purchasing LV. I'll let you know upon my return!

are the prices listed on the LV - France site the same as the price at the boutiques over there? Also, would there be a big difference between prices in Italy and France? tia

yup, the prices listed on the LV france website are the same as the in-store prices! taxes are already built into the price not sure about italy, but i presume it'll be a tad more expensive

Bought my LV from france, got my VAT back and saved a whopping $270 compared to dubai prices...

yes, you can get a VAT refund for sure if you purchase in store. not sure about the e-boutique! i don't think you can purchase off the french LV website anyways..they only accept credit cards with an address within france

no sales tax in oregon! LV boutique in portland.

have friends and family in that area.. will have to make a trip soon!
