Hello,

Would love your thoughts on the golf Cartier Love Bracelet vs the gold Chaumet Bee My Love bracelet.

Cartier is a beautiful classic and holds its value extremely well. But is the Cartier Love overplayed, and ubiquitous?

Chaumet has an interesting history (older than Cartier) and the bee my love bracelet catches the light so beautifully. Cost is about $1000 less
than the traditional size love. But hard to get hold of since they don’t have boutique in US.

Which would you pick and why?

Chaumet have an excellent distance-selling service. I actually just ordered the Bee My Love ring through them and even with the customs charge, it was cheaper than buying it overseas as it was VAT-free.
I personally prefer the Bee My Love design, but that being said, if you think you're likely to need a more long-term relationship with the retailer (i.e. for returns or servicing), I'd recommend going with Cartier.

I would choose the Cartier. More my esthetic
The Love is more sporty/unisex whereas the other is more feminine, IMO. I am not familiar with Chaumet, and while it is distinctive, to my eyes it could be just any gold bracelet. That under the radar thing may be what you want, IDK.
As for the Love being overplayed and ubiquitous, I guess that would depend on where you are and what your lifestyle is. I can flat out guarantee you that 99.9% of the peeps I come across wouldn't have clue one about anything designer. 20 miles up the road would be a different story.
Bottom line BUY WHAT SPEAKS TO YOU no matter what anyone else thinks for whatever reason. It cost me untold thousands of dollars to learn that. I went through 3 speedys, 2 almas and a Fairy bag before I had to accept the fact that I don't do hand held bags. Doesn't matter how wonderful others think they are I need a shoulder strap. I LOVE VCA, but again, not on me.

Cartier LOVE is definitely classic and anyone can wear a round gold bangle at any age.

The Chaumet piece is gorgeous though. It's more "fashion forward" and cool. Haha, I'd go with Chaumet this time because I can easily use it to stack it with anything and add that pop of fun/ edge. Chaumet!

I haven't purchased yet, but I spoke with SA over e-mails: they will deduct 18% from the French website price and then when the item arrives to you, you might have to pay around 5% to customs.
