I did order from Macy's. I've seen descriptions stating that it is "shiny" or "glossy" but I don't think it's outright patent leather if that makes sense. This was another reason why I was hesitant, too. But, good thing it is returnable. I am guessing that it has a sheen to it like some of the quilted leather pieces that Kate Spade has produced. The Gold Coast collection comes to mind.

There are only a few more bags I would like to get before the ride is over....mostly colors I would like to add & only a couple of styles from the MMK line. I have already begun more focus on the MKC line for new additions.

Yes, the market is saturated, but I don't think Michael Kors was complaining all those years he was making billions of dollars selling to the masses. Now, all of sudden, it's the department stores' fault that the brand image has been hurt. Anyway, it's a good position to be in having purchased most, if not all, of the MK bags on my wish list. Good luck in your search for those last few bags.

I've been eyeing that bag, but wasn't sure on how shiny the leather is. Hmmm... [emoji848]. I ordered the smaller size in black sometime back and the leather was amazingly soft and gorgeous. I returned it due to it was all sorts of banged up (you could tell it was a return) and they didn't have anymore in stock. Since then I've had this bag on my radar. I have some giftcards too. Hmmm hmmm

Yeah, I don't think he was refusing all the money he was making during the years he was selling to the masses. He allowed the Dept stores to sell & put them on sale so, inevitably, the blame lies with him for allowing it to continue. I'm glad to be in the position I am with my collection. I haven't really bought much since he discontinued the Large bags like the Selma & limited the colors in the N/S Hamilton & Dillon. There haven't been much in the MMK line that has rung my bell lately. I really like the Large Mercer for Fall but not if it's in that cheap bonded leather stuff. If it was leather bonded to suede like the Miranda or the Gracie, I would be getting that one. As it is, I'm being very selective of what I buy & if I can get it on the secondary market nwt, that's even better. I'm more focused on getting some of the past season's colors that I missed out on in a large style that I love, specifically a Large Selma in DD. But I'm pretty pleased with what I have already.

Ive seen the black one and i want it, too. I dont think it is shiny like the bisque. Too bad it isnt on sale in XL. I havent checked it in the other sizes.My wallet is thankful.

I live in Sweden, as my nick implies, and MMK is extremely popular here as is MMJ. However, it's not the department stores giving huge discounts. It's the online stores so anyone wanting a great deal on MMK can often get one through reputable sites. However, I imagine MK will put an end to that as well. I bought a Selma recently at a huge discount, as well as a Julia satchel. Fashionette.com is having some sales. I cannot vouch for it, as I have never used it. I have only bought from Zalando because it is owned by a Swedish investment company and I know it is reliable. (This info is, of course, for EU-based shoppers.)
