Whenever I see legacy bags for sale, the first thing I look for is the lining. If the bag is a legacy style but doesn't have the stripe, I get disappointed. I have wanted to take the bag to Coach and ask them to replace the lining with the stripes! That was my first thought when I saw these - that someone took the lining to put in another bag.

A while back a tPF member posted that they were thinking about taking the lining out of their legacy bag because they didn't like it. They loved the bag, but not the lining. I remember it because most the responses were like :wtf::wtf:!
I'm with you, I would never do that!

Seller bought this bag for $1050 and says she is now reselling it because she realized it was too big. Two weeks after winning this bag, she won another Lily and didn't pay for it. This is the same scammer as before. The stripes on her listing don't match the ones on the one she bought. Is she using the purchase of the real one to mask her sale of a fake one? If that were the case, why wouldn't she just use pictures from the real one?

This lady is a scammer!!! She had the same bag listed last month with the same story about buying it and it being too big. I added it to my watch list because the current bid was up to $504. Needless to say the seller cancelled the bids at the last minute and changed her user name to the one that she is using on this one. I looked on the purse forum later that night and there was a discussion going on about how this same seller would list bags and have the buyer pay and then mail the buyer a box of newspaper. This was before Ebay started offering buyer protection. I'm not sure what thread this discussion was on but I'm sure if you asked the ladies in the authenticate this thread they'll probably know all about this scammer.

Yep, and pictures on the maude she has are stolen also. The pics are from another listing about a year or so ago.

Who is the TPFer that won this Madison Legacy Flap Handbag 10470? It sold for $55 with only one bid.

I had posted it in the Finds thread and somebody said that they entered a bid but I can’t remember who it was. Our posts were deleted because we were chatting in the wrong place!

Well, whoever you are, I think you got a great deal! The bag looks to be in great shape and here is another one (NWT) that sold for $210! Congratulations!
