I am always on the lookout for a well-cared for black leather Julianne (I guess owning 4 Juliannes isn't enough:p). This bag was recently listed, but the pictures don't match up. The 3rd and 4th pictures are of a totally different bag. All of the sellers other listings are photographed on what looks like a sheet, and the 3rd and 4th picture in this listing seem that way, also. But who knows what you are really going to get...sigh...

Looks like an honest mistake. The seller has other vintage Coach listed as well. ;)

Do the Coach sunglasses at Nordstrom Rack include the case?

Thanks. So the folks on the Bay and such, who're selling them separately, are just trying to make an extra buck. Meh.
Not necessarily. Some people don't like the big oversized cases that come with the glasses and prefer to use one of their own cases.

Then there are people who buy sunnies at TJ Maxx and they don't have the Coach cases. So those people might shop on ebay for a case.

Personally, I don't see a problem with someone selling something they cannot use. As long as the case is authentic (and there are plenty of fakes out there), it's theirs to do with as they please.

(I admit to feeling differently about sellers who remove hangtags and charms from bags and sell them separately. I see that as being unethical, especially when many of those sellers are also selling the bags separately, sans their hangtags.)

If you buy one of the pairs that's displayed on a rack, sans cases, do you ask for a case or what?
They usually go and get a case if there isn't one under the display.

At the NR stores I go to, they have the cases in wall baskets under the sunnies which are also on the wall. It appears to me that there are more cases displayed than glasses, though I never actually counted to compare.

Sometimes, they also display them in a second location on a table within the department. The ones on the table don't usually all have cases so if a customer buys a pair without the case, they may not even realize there are cases available.

The ones on the stands at NR are usually so grimy, it bugs me. But I guess the ones at the outlets are usually the same way. At least, the ones I've seen. I suppose it's a choice between getting a cheaper price and getting something no one's ever handled.

OK I love ths bag that was posted in the finds thread I mean REALLY love it....I remember this bag but can't recall the full retail price which kinda makes a difference in whether I could stand to pay that much for an Ergo.... Does anyone know? Thanks! :D

I thought it was gorgeous, too! I did some searching here on TPF and learned that when they were at retail price the lacey ergo bags originally sold for $469 (patent) and $439 (leather). When they went to the outlet in December 2008 they were around $240.

Got it, thanks so much katev!! I love Ergo bags.... I guess now I have to decide is HOW much do I love it. Ebay is a blessing and a curse...I can always find something special that I love, but it's NEVER what I want to pay for it!

The Coach sunglasses cases are huge. I tried carrying mine for awhile but I didn't like the size or the way it sprung shut. I finally gave up and bought a flat Poppy case that works a lot better for me. I sold the case I wasn't going to use anymore on Ebay. Unless you see a seller listing multiples, it is probably just someone who bought the glasses but didn't like the case.

It is gorgeous, but my first reaction was that it is overpriced. Someone listed a gathered Sophia for $599, which is $100 over retail. She did it the day that Coach removed it from their website. Her rationale for the high price was that now it was rare.

Oh yea now that I know the actual cost NEW I agree it's overpriced.....it's SOOOOO pretty but man oh man that price hurts! MORE than retail, ugh! I have four ergos but NONE like this...I have a weak spot for Ergo...I'm just gonna pout till the price goes down or someone else buys it and relieves me of my pain! :pout:

But if she bought it for full price (or even with the PCE coupon, at $100 over retail, she's not making much after ebay and paypal fees and her time.
