If it were me, and if it's in great shape otherwise, I'd keep it and ask for a price adjustment/credit. I don't mind using different color Bal First or City straps or just completely different straps, but that's just me. I regularly switch out straps. I'm getting a ton of mileage out of my Raver glorious metal chain straps, using it on all kinds of Bal and non-Bal bags.I need advice —

There’s no shoulder strap
I reached out on social media. She says they’re checking the warehouse to see if they just forgot to put it back inside, but I’m not holding out hope. She says if its not, they’ll accommodate a free return

Honestly, I can’t really use it without having a shoulder strap
I know I could probably buy a replacement one somewhere, but it wouldn’t be the same
Would you return such a rarity or suck it up and keep it?

It honestly doesn't matter what we would do. It's what will make you happiest. In reading your post, you said that it wouldn't be the same with a replacement strap and yes, that is correct. But will you be happy with that enough to overcome that dissatisfaction? Or will you always regret?

I love this season’s leather and any Bbag with silver HW. I know if I let it go, its highly unlikely I’d ever find another one — lightning doesn’t usually strike 2x. I guess I’m just curious what others would do in the same circumstance

I agree with Yuzulife. Only you know your level of comfort when something’s missing. I remember the pics of the bag and it looked yummy
I would keep it and then spend the next decade on a quest for another original strap. Meanwhile Deco’s work-around.

I am leaning towards keeping it. They actually already gave me a $25 credit because they neglected to mention that it was missing the inner zipper pull, but thats not a big deal — the main tassel is so long, I could snip a piece from the end and use that. I’m just concerned that they’ll only give me the choice of keeping it as is (with no credit) or sending it back
I suppose I’ll just have to wait and see. If they give me a $50 credit, I’d say its definitely worth keeping and then looking for some kind of strap for it

I've never had an issue carrying a first for a night out? I don't even use the strap.
