I undestand completely BUT apparently he continued having unprotected sex AFTER he learned he was HIV positive. If that is true then I really don't care too much about him ...

ITA. IMHO no one is at fault for having an STD, (I mean it's there for a reason, you had unprotected sex but I would not feel bad about having one. It can happen with one try and in this day & age, most people have had unprotected sex at least one time.) but if you have unprotected sex with a woman after you know that you have that and you fail to tell her that you know you have an STD, (and I know it's a very hard situation to probably tell people but STILL), then that speaks volumes about your character.

well well

Charlie Sheen to Make "Revealing Personal Announcement" to Matt Lauer

Charlie Sheen will be making a "revealing personal announcement" to Matt Lauer on Tuesday, Nov. 17 on Today.

The Today show announced the live in-studio interview with the actor on Monday. The interview will be posted on Today.com after it airs, according to the press release.

Recently, RadarOnline published a blind item about a Hollywood actor who had been diagnosed as HIV-positive. The article sparked a firestorm of speculation about the identity of the actor, and many readers suggested Sheen fit the profile.

The actor has declined to confirm the rumors and the claims have not been substantiated.

I really don't care if he has AIDS or not. However, if he didn't disclose his known status to his partners he should face the same criminal actions as others who have infected their partners knowing they are positive.

Sick individual indeed.

Ditto. Not everyone he has had sex with will have access/be able to afford the cocktail of wonder drugs that he is likely on to keep it from becoming full blown AIDS.

I was just re-watching Red Dawn this past weekend. Man I love that movie. And now Jed has passed on and Matt has HIV. Sigh.

If it is indeed him whoever wrote that blind Item should go back to blind item writing school...

This for sure. No way I would ever consider him an acting genius or worldwide megastar or whatever else the blind said. Also, it really made it sound like someone who would be a surprise... and Sheen really isn't, especially combining his lifestyle with the Sony leak. Sheesh.

The ONLY thing I can guess is perhaps the clues were intentionally elusive, so as not to give it away.

I agree with this. Rumors are that he didn't even tell his former fiance & continued having unprotected sex with her.

I guess I'm in the minority in thinking that it's the responsibility of the women (or men) who chose to sleep with Charlie Sheen to protect themselves. It's 2015, everyone knows what the ramifications of casual, unprotected sex are and Charlie Sheen is not some random nobody. They all knew exactly who he was and the type of lifestyle he leads when choosing to have sex with him.

Is it ethically wrong for him not to disclose? Absolutely. Legally? I don't think it should be, at least in the case of consensual sex.

I'd never consider being HIV+ as a shameful thing but yeah as others have said knowingly having unprotected sex when you know your status in no bueno.

Yeah probably. That's blind gossip; twist, distort, exaggerate, embellish, make the truth just out of reach for maximum titillation.

But also if you read the original blind on Radar the "acting genius" part was a quote from the person who leaked the story. It was a subjective evaluation not an objective fact. The girlfriend clues and the general description of the actor were the more concrete clues given by Radar.

Blinds often say... "the revelation will shock you", "never will you guess", "not in a million years"... it's just their way of reeling in readers. And in a sense there is always someone who will be shocked by the news, the majority of the world is not initiated with the world of blind gossip (that G*d), so in a sense they are right.

^ I agree it is the responsibility of both parties in this day & age, and I'm kind of shocked that people are still going around having unprotected sex. So I do agree with those points.

But if you KNOW you have a life-threatening illness that is sexually transmitted, and you intentionally conceal that information, then you are infecting those people intentionally. IMHO it's no different than feeding someone poison or injecting them with cancer cells. You are cutting that person's life short (potentially).
