So why do we like CH? His good looks and acting aside what is the draw to this guy?


Speaking for myself the fact that he is so "unhollywood" is a big draw. I admire him because he appears to be very much his own man and is true to himself. Also his integrity as an actor and not willing to accept just any role or being influenced by the $$.

He knows what genre of film he wants to concentrate on and seems very firm about that. Personally I wish he would do a Romcom. I bet there are times when his agent etc. pull their hair out because he isn't capitalizing on his good looks. Although he has stated that it took him a long time to be taken seriously and rid himself of the "pretty boy" image.


Watch out once SOA raps and there are more movies in his future. Although I believe he will sacrifice more of his privacy that he is so protective of. If his movie career really takes off then more and more of his privacy is going to erode. That is something he will have to come to terms with. Possibly in the end the media and his fans will determine how much privacy he retains.

You are right lillygurl. If his career progresses, privacy is a thing of the past. I read that she is more of a fanatic about privacy than he is.

If this is an old picture, it doesn't tell us much about how things are going for them now. I don't believe there has been anything mentioned about her since October. Would be nice to know that all is well or whatever.
I think I would go on all these trips if I had somebody like him that every woman seems to want - especially if he was going to be gone for three months like the one coming up to shoot in Canada.

Let us know if any news comes up about that.

Hope all is OK, but Hollywood doesn't have a record for that.

Was reading one of the fan groups of SOA and the person indicated that something big was coming but I guess she couldn't say what. Another fan asked if we would hear about it and she indicated that we would definitely hear about it. One of the statements she made was "Charlie,I don't know what to say." Guess we will get the big, bad news (or good news) sooner or later. Hate it when people say things like that. I want to know right now. LOL

I am just baffled by my feelings for him??? Not since high school have I ever been such a FANatic. I cannot explain it. Sometimes I think I am a little crazy.

My idea of why he is so appealing is because he acts like the common, everyday person, and he even dresses like that. He said he doesn't do the Hollywood party thing and even wants to be a farmer. The SOA has its own draw but certainly isn't a "suit-type" job. I believe we see him more like us than other film types. You just can't not like him. To me, he looks like the average American. Guess we have found a film star that we can identify with.

Well I like Charlie Hunnam because he seems to be laid back, enjoys his acting craft and improves, he is creative and I can't wait to see him getting new projects materialized, he keeps a low profile, and most importantly I want to have a beer with him and high five him for not only ditching 50 Shades Of Crap project but also wearing those outfits that remind people that life isn't a friggin' catwalk, celeb men like women.

I have been rechecking those statements that I had posted earlier from SOA addicts, etc. Both were posted on 5 Jan under the same id. I found one but this group tweets so much that it gives you a headache just looking through it. Its there because I have read it twice today.

Bag, after watching Vikings entire season, I get why I (and perhaps others) see the strong resemblance Travis Fimmel/Charlie Hunnam... I now see that it's not the actors per se, but more like their TV characters and similar mannerisms on screen (and yes the scruffy look helping), both Ragnar and Jax are very alike, both young, brash, cocky and ambitious. They have that same smirk where they have to restrain their rage due to politics, and the similar themes of family, loyalty, rivalry and bortherhood, all that only in two different eras... now take the scruff away and indeed they are two different people in the city... oh well hope it makes sense what I said :D

That accent. That body. Those eyes. The adorably clueless way he dresses. The fact that he can wink like a champ (I appreciate that in a man), intelligence, wit and relatively low-key in the Hollywood scheme of things. What's not to like?

An ex boyfriend of mine looks almost identical to a bearded CH. He lives in LA and when all the 50 Shades news came out his dad actually called him and was like I think I saw you on tv talking about you doing some movie? It was hilarious.
