Could you tell me more about the bracelet in the middle pic? Looks lovely with your watch.

Thanks! That bracelet is a vintage diamond bangle from the 1930s so it’s one of a kind. I got it a few years ago as a push present from hubby at Adin Antique Jewelry in Antwerp, Belgium:

Here are more pics. I love the cut of these vintage diamonds. Very organic looking. I did get it to match my J12 365 since the antique rose gold on the bangle is very similar to the beige gold on the J12.

I've been eyeing the premiere rock in steel and black leather, and I'm surprised there isn't as much love or TPFers with this watch!

Weird question for you or any premiere watch owners: do you have trouble telling time? The watch face does seem quite small...

This is what's hold me back + price. I do see a lot of the gold version (premiere rock) on the preloved market but I feel like the silver is easier to match things with.

TBH, fshion house watches are expensive for no reason. I do like the premier watch a lot more than Hermes. Silver is nice.

But personally i'd go for cartier or patek.

I stopped by the boutique today to try on the J12 black version in size 33 and 38. While I'd love to have the automatic version, the 33 looked best on me. What do you all think? For those who have bought the non-automatic version, how often did you have to replace the batteries? Is there a fee each time you do?

This has been my biggest dilemma. 33mm looks the best on my wrist but I want the automatic version.

I used to own a 33mm white J12, then a few years ago I sold that and upgraded to a 38mm black J12 365 (which I think is discontinued). Both watches were/are good I have no issue. I wear my black one all the time including at work and I don’t baby it. I don’t think you can go wrong with J12, either black or white goes with everything and the ceramic is durable, just don’t drop your watch and you will be fine.View attachment 5120638View attachment 5120639View attachment 5120640

Resurrecting this thread because I still think about the Premiere watch. I've also seen more influencers wear it, the PREMIÈRE ÉDITION ORIGINALE, but that could have been because of the watch campaign w Lily-Rose Depp fall last year.

Can anyone with watch share how it's held up? Does the leather interwoven strap fray? Is it comfortable for everyday wear, knock on things, scratch easily??

I have the original premiere watch from the 80s? From my mom!

I love it! I wear it casually almost everyday. The leather strap is good and not many scratches (and I'm not crazy careful either).
When my mom first gave me her watch the leather strap was sticking out but when I went to chanel to fix the battery, they just fixed the strap for free.

I have the new version from 2022 and it’s held up perfectly. I wear it as an evening watch but no issues.

Thank you both! I'll keep an eye out for vintage because of the price of the current version, even though I do find the new version beige gold softer/easier to go with outfits (vs. the vintage yellow gold, which may seem too dressy to some).

While I was searching TPF, I found this post where someone's new watch clasp broke... which worries me because overall, quality seems to be an issue (leather, stitching on purses), but you'd think watch and jewelry creation is different from purse creation and have less issues.
