Yeah the color is BEAUTIFUL but the bag itself is not all butterflies... I will try and see if I can get an exchange tmr... The thing is this bag is under my hubby's name and this is the only purchase on his profile. There is a chance I *may* have to just settle with it if exchanging is not an option and if returning will mess with the 1 bag/month limit :facepalm:

These pictures are painful to see and thank you for sharing them! I hope you do get an exchange. Given the price of the bag it is a shame that Chanel allowed such quality to be sold to the customers!
 
I hope you get an exchange hun and not be part of the limit. These bags costs sooo much for us to settle. And its an exchange for is reasonable.. in the first place you wouldn’t return if its in good condition. Why would it be counted to our limit if the bag is in their possession already. I hope they replace it for you
Thank you, I hope so too. I remember my SA saying this is the last one and she made it sound a little like she was doing me a favor, which I understand bc hers is a bigger boutique... I hope SAs can just request for replacements from the corporate or something.

No no don’t settle. I could also live with some kind of defects or the other, but definitely not these kind! She could do you a bigger favor by having it exchanged. :yucky:

It's kind of a relief that not a single one of you said to settle with it, but also kind of sad that I truly received a defective bag lol. I was a little worried I would be called nitpicking. Nonetheless I hope everything works out tmr!!
 
HI Eunicorn, I am so happy I found your post. The other day I found a stark white CF and then the off white creamy CF - could you confirm if my following photos are teh same bag as the ones you posted. And can you confirm what season is the creamy off white CF from? Any help on specifics for the creamy off white one would be much appreciated (such as, what does chanel call this color if they're calling the stark white one just 'white'. TIA

first photo above is the stark white one and the one at the bottom is the creamy off white (I forgot to get a photo of the tags and I'm too scared to ask the SA for a photo incase she's suspicious of me reselling or something (which I'm not) but she is holding them for me.

hey! The creamy off white you asked about was 22c. They look like the same bags I saw. 22p was the stark white. I don’t know the Chanel name for the bags but I’m sure someone here could help with that! Hope you get one of them! I like the creamy 22c white.

True. Agree with everybody. I can accept/ignore minor flaws but these I cannot accept. Hope you get a replacement!

My SA offered me the blue medium, but I passed on it yesterday. If your SA doesn’t have the second one, I can introduce my SA to you

Yeah, you literally want the same item and the issue on the bag is quite obvious. Id be scared to keep it.. and id hate to have to repair and they say its my fault

This is what confounds me with some of the threads where people say, what Chanel defects? Those are just people being super picky or overreacting...I have experienced so many blatant defects it's revolting. (I still buy of course b/c there are plenty that DO NOT have defects). This is unacceptable.

No she did not do you a favor giving you a defective bag! A good SA does a look over of the bag before wrapping it up and selling it to you. So unless it unfortunately got damaged in transport if you had it shipped then this should have never even happened! I think you should try to exchange it, and I hope that you’re able to get a replacement. You should not have to settle. This isn’t charity work you paid full price for that bag it wasn’t discounted for damage. You deserve to have a nice one don’t doubt yourself! You paid for it!
 
i just had to return a phone order coco handle because of a scuff mark it came with. The quilts that don’t line up would personally bother me. The fact that it came without a tag or the felt would also really bother me too since when you return an item they say it still has to have the tags on it. That’s irritating that they have that rule if they’re sending people pieces that never had tags in the first place.
Thank you! I’m from Canada and the receipt says final sale or store credit. If I do store credit what if I don’t find a better bag? I’m so torn on what to do :hrmm:

even if people were being picky and overreacting I think it’s fair to be critical of an item that runs you 9k with tax. For 9k there really shouldn’t be any issues. I’ve seen maybe two posts on here of people being critical of something that was super minimal. The vast majority are valid criticisms.
