Chanel Spring/Summer 2022 Act1 (22P)

Hi!! So I just got my red classic flap… did anyone notice the bag feels kind of plasticy and also has a weird smell? I am so disappointed! I compared to my other bags and the quality is just so off. I’m scared it’s a fake bag!!! Which would be nuts because I bought from a boutique!!
Would love to hear some feedback and if the bag feels less plasticy over time or smell is normal

Normal. Both smell and the plasticky look are normal (the smell doesn’t bother me much though). I noticed this in the recent seasonal classic flaps. I collected Chanel a while ago but stopped for a long time and just recently came back (blame it on Covid lol). I was surprised and disappointed at first when I got my classic flap. I thought it looks plasticky. Some people though said they love the subtle sheen in the newer bags. I started to get used to and accepted this as the new normal. I guess Chanel always somehow finds a way to make us buy their bags.

22c vs 22p white CFs. Felt so lucky to see these twins together. Personally I liked 22C more. The color code is the same

Me! I am still very torn even after I purchased one lol. It’s not my perfect red but it’s not bad either and I wonder if my perfect red will ever come lol.

What would your perfect red look like?

Great comparison! I personally prefer the ivory tones on the classic flap too! My CF is 21A (ivory similar to 22C) and my WOC is 21B (more white and similar to 22P)

I need your advice - I texted my SA to ask if they had the mini Reissue in pink, and he replied saying they’ve only received it in the medium size (225). I absolutely love that size for the Reissue and I already have one in black, GHW. I initially wanted the mini, because I don’t own any minis yet and because the price is way lower! But I’m now hesitating and need to decide asap, as they only have one available. Would you get the pink one, having already the same bag in black? And most importantly: would you spend 7,800 euros in a pink Chanel Reissue? Sounds crazy to me… but it’s OH so beautiful; and the Reissue in 225 size is perfect… Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks in advance! ♥️

Hello! I’m the type of person who likes to have 2 of the same bags but different colour I personally love mini reissue so much I have 2. Black chevron and the copper with rose gold hardware. So, to try to help you a bit, if you like them so much, for me it’s OK to have 2 of them. However, I must ask are you the type of person who got out of love of your bag easily or not? If yes, I rather wait for the mini reissue since 2.55 current after sale price is breaking my heart. Hope that helps! Good luck

Go for it! Nothing worse then regretting not getting it later! It’s ok to have same size if you love it!!! I have multiple bags in different colours. 3 is a collection they say haha

Same for me…! I bought my first Reissue in 2015 for 4,800 euros, the large one (226 size) and it is retailing now for 8,200 which is completely insane. I think I will pass for now…, I might regret it but it’s a lot of money for a bag that I might not reach for so much (I’d rather spend that sum on a Rolex watch or a Cartier JUC…)! You’re right, I think I’ll wait for a mini one. I’ve fallen into FOMO but when I think about it, it doesn’t make sense to spend almost 8,000 euros on a pink bag when most of my bags are black. TPF gurus. New member here, but been lurking for quite awhile . I started my Chanel journey since covid strikes (yupe, the travel money went to the bags, haha). Managed to score several neutral ‘basic’ colours and models. Now, I’m looking for something with a bit of an oomph. Is this too much? Hubby said no and prefer classic colours but I love it and think it can go with so many casual outfits. Please share your 2 cents. Thanks in advance.

Definitely wait for a mini, or even a cf mini in a pop of colour! I got my first mini reissue in black last week and have fallen in love! With the current price of the bigger sizes, I’m on the mini train for a while now!

I guess me too! Not reasonable to keep increasing my collection of regular-sized Chanels… glad I started years ago, when prices were “normal”!
