Has anyone gotten the light blue mini rec?

This season (well, both seasons) so far have been a bust for me! I haven’t gotten any bags that I reserved!
You haven't gotten them because they are all delayed in shipment or because the reserve list was so long? I am still unsure of how the reserve system really works. In some cases it feels like a reserve is a claim on a bag. Otherwise the SA would or should just say "I'll add you to the waitlist". But then I've seen members on this forum say they reserved but got bumped or they were too far down the list. Then in my mind it really isn't a reserve. Is reserve different than waitlist? It seems like it varies by store and by SA. Or SAs and/or members here use those terms interchangeably. In the past all my reserves from one particular SA has resulted in me getting the bag. She never said or used the term "guaranteed" reserve. Just used the generic term reserved. But hearing other's stories makes me wonder if reserve means what it used to. Just like everything else with Chanel, it's clear as mud and never carried out consistently.

I haven’t gotten them because of delays. At both my local stores reserved means your name is assigned to a bag and you are supposedly guaranteed whatever bag you reserve. My SAs never say guaranteed but when I reserve something they say this bag is yours at nm be ready to pay by the end of the day when it arrives or at the standalone the bag will be charged upon store arrival.

I am #4 on the waitlist for a heart belt bag which is no guarantee that I will get it. I typically don’t count on being on the waitlist because it’s not guaranteed. I just don’t want the delayed items to spill over to 22s! I’m still waiting for my 22p light pink cf to show up! Grrr I know this season just started but goodness! I just want to catch a break and get one thing early lol

Thank you for your reply! OK, based on how you described it I feel much better that reserve and waitlist mean what I feel like they should mean and work the way they should work. I sometimes see the term reserved used when it should be referred to as a waitlist and vice versa. The boutiques I shop at work how you described and how I think it should be.

Yes, the waiting game is excruciating! I can totally empathize. Although you (and others) have been waiting MUCH longer for your 22P items than I have been waiting on my one 22S reserve. Every night I send up prayers to the Chanel gods that shipments will be expedited, and we all get our items soon. Patience isn’t my strongest suit.

Does anyone have advice on how I can get wrinkles out of the side of my lambskin classic flap? I know this is something that will happen over time but I didn’t expect it to be on a new piece. If I can’t do anything to treat it at home will Chanel repair it? I definitely don’t want to give it up as it was way too hard to find.

Yes, I’ve read others say “reserve list” instead of waitlist or reserved. It is very confusing but glad that ours has the same meaning!
I need to add Chanel Gods to my prayer list lol. Patience isn’t my strong suit either but it’s looking like I’m getting a good lesson on the need to be patient lol. I’m more excited that I’m finally going to get my hands on a small deauville and I can’t wait to see it in pink! The anticipation is very high! If I got one of the things I’d be ok!

Congrats on the deauville! Sending positive vibes your way for the items you are waiting on. I'm sure they will be worth the wait.

I have the same issue on my caramel flap too! Was wondering if it was defect. But to be honest when I stick my hand in to pop out the sides, the wrinkle disappears until I let it fold back in. It doesn’t bother me as much because I think it’s just the nature of the specific leather of my bag but I do notice it when I do pull the bag out. It makes me feel better to know I’m not the only one though. My SA is lucky I’m not super picky…but if the flap were crooked or there was peeling leather, that would be a different story!

you don’t know the relief that rushed over me hearing someone with the same bag has the same issue lol. I was wondering if it was just due to the light color and lambskin I was noticing it more, but wasn’t sure because people rarely posts the sides when doing mod shots and it’s very hard to compare using YouTube videos. I notice the creasing on black caviar and lambskin bags but it’s not as obvious due to the dark color.

Try using a base shaper and/or insert a bag pillow when in storage.

I also have the same issues as you guys too!! I was fortunate to get a small beige trendy which has a little bit of wrinkles. I was doing the same thing last night and stuck my hands in the corner and wrinkles went away . I just ordered some inserts and not sure if that will help with the wrinkles.

This is completely normal on lambskin specially on classic flaps because they are narrower than a mini and generally have more pronounced folds on the sides. Enjoy your bag; it’s perfectly fine.
