Hi All! Very new to this thread and purse forum but I have the opportunity to buy the following tomorrow.
- Chanel 19 White Iridescent in Small (aka Medium)
And
- Chanel White Iridescent Classic Medium
Both brand new from my Chanel SA who had them reserved for someone else who pulled out? ( I can’t believe it!!)
Which do I purchase or do I purchase both?

Oh gosh what a lucky opportunity! I’d choose the classic personally but I’d say choose whichever fits your style more, or adds more variety to your closet!

I’ve been reading new info about Chanel and I’m wondering if I pass up on the Chanel 19 Iridescent what are the chances I’ll ever find it again?! If slim to none then I will get both. I haven’t been following the demand on these bags until today so just looking for more clarity.
I would get both and then think about them once they're in your hands. The way Chanel operates, if it's something you love and have the chance to get - it's best to "buy now, think later". You have 14 days to return at the boutique, so that should give you enough time to take it home and see how each works with your wardrobe.
Thank you for the info! I didn’t know I had 14 days to return at the boutique, I didn’t want to ask too many questions as I’m purchasing from an SA in another state and knew if I didn’t say yes immediately she would offer it to someone else.

The white iridescent 19 has been out for a while.. It's something that's easier to find imo vs a classic flap in a sought after seasonal color. I would definitely go for the iridescent white medium classic flap instead!!
Thanks for the info! I’m definitely a classic girl. I’m seeing the 19 being sold on eBay for almost double the store price is this a testament to how hard it is to get? It’s ‘sold out’ according to Chanel but my SA was still able to secure me one. Is it really sold out? I don’t know if these are games Chanel are playing to ramp up demand but it’s weighing heavily on my decision. I don’t want to regret not buying the 19.

If both are an option, and they let you (because on the one bag rule) I would get both! They are both very special unique bags. I have the iridescent white 19 small, and it is stunning! It has a slight grayish cast to it, not as white as my 20b irredentist white medium. But the way the irredentist colors shift in the light, is just beautiful. There had never been a 19 in a color like that, so I knew I had to have it. It’s definitely a casual bag, in my own personal opinion.
I have not seen, in person, the new 21s white iridescent. Looks really pretty. Most are saying it’s more of a pearl sheen than a true iridescent. My 20b iridescent white goes with everything, and I actually love wearing it casually. Definitely can be dressed up or down. I think this 21s will be very similar in how often you will actually find opportunities to wear. Definitely looks like one that will look good casual but dress up too.
If only one is an option, go with your gut! Of course we want them all, right? But you know what one speaks to you the most... sparkles and shines just a little bit more in your eyes. That’s the one, just trust your feelings.
