Just picked up my gold mini cav w/ handle and I have to say, I’m a bit...shocked at how dark the gold is :/ Especially compared to the pics online. Definitely pulls more of a fall, Metiers gold than a spring/summer gold IMO. Gonna take a few days to think on it, as it does have a lot of pluses—but right now, I’m not sure she’s a keeper Maybe I’ll do a poll on IG like I did with the silver one, haha. Anyway, thoughts? TIA!

My SA in a boutique reserved me a light pink medium flap in caviar 2 weeks ago, but she reserved me an iridescent light pink in calf accidently. So, she put me in a reserve list of other boutique last weekend: the 7th place out of 6 bags they are getting. I contacted my old SA in Saks NY last weekend and he said that he would do his best to get me one. I didn't believe that he would actually get me one since I only bought one card holder from him more than two years ago. He texted me at least 10 times this morning since 9:30 am, but I missed them all. I checked his messages at 12:30 pm. I was freaking out. He still had the bag and I ordered it. It wasn't easy at all. I contacted A LOT of SAs. It's like playing a game with Chanel in order to spend my 7K.

Alright folks, saw the iridescent beiges in person today.

In the hand. There are strong pink tones to the beige under bright boutique lighting

Next to the medium. The differences in construction are very obvious here, and in person. The medium has classic, well formed quilts and edges. The mini has flatter quilts, softer edging, and the grommets sink deeper into the top of the bag noticeably.

This mini’s flap was also not fully straight, which was even more obvious when worn.

My SA also had a firm, lambskin pink mini which I compared it against.

I passed on this mini today. My SA is being kind enough to let me inspect the next one that comes in.

Overall, I regret not being on the list for the medium for this bag.

Wow, thank you so much for the photos! Would you say the bag is super iridescent? I am not a big fan of iridescent, but this almost looks like a sheen. In some photos, the bag looks like a true iridescent, and in some photos it looks like a sheen, like a makeup highlighter for the face? I hope I am making sense? TIA!!

Yes, I’m in the US. I don’t think so, most have closed preorders. I will confirm with her tomorrow though! I was told by my stylist, a lot of the preorders have gone to a strange lottery system unfortunately. So even if you preordered, some places, there is no guarantee.

If you are interested, SAKS NYC has the light pink classic flap available, color code is NC022, but it’s in calfskin not caviar.

Is this the iridescent one by chance?

Here’s a pic of the dark beige. My SA confirmed this is an accurate pic of it. I ordered it in the small 19. I’ll be sure to post pics once mine comes in.

I would say the sheen is pretty strong. At some angles it reminded me of a shimmery bronzer one would put on one’s face, yeah.

Honestly I think the color is gorgeous.
