Bag just came in, so excuse the poor mod shots, but here's some pics for those who are curious and interested
- Overall, the caviar leather felt softer, a bit more buttery/supple compared to my CF caviar, maybe because its a single flap
- Size wise, pretty much same as my med CF, but lighter
- What it can hold: keys, card holder, phone, bottle of hand sanitizer with plenty of room left - though hesitant to pack this full because it's less structured than CF
- I'm 5'4" so this falls pretty well when wearing at both single and double strap
Thank you so much for this! The pictures only make me want it more. It looks like a bag an insert might be good for, if you feel it isn't as structured, but other than that...

And it's the prettiest navy too

One more thing for those of us with the sweet minis/other sizes or those who are thinking about getting one: check the writing on the grommets!! I just realized that the one on the right front of my bag is upside down, and all the others are right side up.

I can't decide if it's worth trying to exchange or just laughing it off as a quirk (because I do actually find it kind of funny), so any feedback is welcome. It's not something the average person would notice while the bag is in use, I don't think, but I just don't know how they thought anyone would miss that when they went to peel the plastic off!! On one hand I'm a little irritated that $4100+tax later I have a bag with an upside down grommet, but I am also genuinely amused that the fact that it still made it through quality control isn't even surprising to me at this point. (And yet I still keep buying . . .)

as someone who also just received a bag with a mistake, my biggest concern is if I ever decide to sell it, someone else is going to consider it a defect instead of a quirk:sad: Im hoping they can fix mine because it’s the only one left in US.

I just LOVE this bag!!! So freaking cute, I am still holding out hope on a deep/cherry red but I hope this style gets rotated in a bit more regularly. Thank you so much for sharing your experience with it and mod shots. I really love your pants too. Can never get enough high waisted/paperbag pants :D

Thanks so much for posting these shots/mod shots! I was so curious to see how it hangs double-strapped! Is this the $4100 size? I'm receiving mine this Friday :yahoo:

oh my , how could they pass the QC. It's actually not something that compromised the quality of the bag but seriously i agree when you mention the price point. it's the point towards more and more perfection right?? Meticulous details should have been taken in place. After I bought my 21P caramel, i was happy that i got the shade that i want BUT i do feel the price point is ridiculous compared to the quality of the bag. H brand with that price point is very sturdy and you don't need to feel worry with quality issue. you could purpotedly bang them hard and they won't make a dent (most of the leather types)...don't ever try that with Chanel bags though. even in boutiques i like to see the staffs showcasing the bags in a manner that compromises their structures ie. hanging the bag asymmetrically thus, the flap isn't aligned with the body. i've seen a lot of this happened in minis especially square ones.
i do feel at one point, i definitely HAVE to stop buying chanel because it feels not worth it anymore. if they go back to their vintage quality then i might reconsider. i just have few more colours and shades on my wishlist. once i got them, it's done. my friends who've collected Chanel since chidlhood, they even don't dare buying classic flaps when it reaches 4K pricepoint. they feel content with their vintage collections especially with the quality , they really get the worthiness of the value.

with that said, i do find flaws in my bags as something unique to them unless they bug me such as creases and dents in open spots. my rule is if it bothers me, i'd return them. let us know what you decide with the bag Dear

It's so frustrating, right?! And for me at least it adds stress to what's supposed to be an enjoyable process, because problems like this are getting so common that you have to inspect every single item carefully before you buy it (or once they send it to you) to make sure you're not getting a lemon. It's becoming more like looking for what's wrong and deciding whether you can live with it instead of just trying to determine if anything is wrong in the first place.

With how hard it's becoming to get bags these days, so many people have joked that we are having to do the SAs' work for them because we're the ones scrambling, checking around, seeing which stores/boutiques are ordering which items, getting on multiple lists, and following up on leads. As I was writing this it occurred to me that Chanel is essentially now outsourcing their quality control to consumers too, since the onus is on us to make sure we're not getting defective bags, rather than just being able to reasonably assume that what you're getting won't have anything wrong with it. Will they have us manufacturing the bags for them next? I mean, at this rate, we might end up with better quality products . . . just saying. :P

I saw this bag in the Chicago boutique yesterday. It's a very pretty bag IRL, however there are differences between it and a classic flap. It's not quite as structured, its single flap so little "Softer" & lighter weight than a classic flap, it comfortably crossbodies, it's a bit deeper, more square than rectangle than a CF. Because it's single flap some people might not find it as substantial, it'll be personal preference so if you're interested in it and near a boutique, I highly recommend you go in and try it on.

If I was in search of a navy bag, this would be a contender, just wanted to mention that it is structurally different. I picked up the seasonal black flap with the burgundy shoulder strap and absolutely love it!!!! Truth be told, I am frustrated by the strap length of the small and m/l classic flaps, but never would alter them.

One more note, I saw someone ask about the website...I often find bags in store that aren't on the website - the website generally feels like a sampling, and I'll never understand why bags are on the site aren't versioned for availability in that country.
At the Chicago boutique did you have an appointment or were you able to walk in?

Boutiques are open in US but it is always advisable to call before you go even if it is your first time. Ask for an appointment to meet with the SA (usually one of the SAs will answer the phone). They very much appreciate it! This is my personal experience..
